I really should have looked at the reviews before booking. I booked a 5pm appointment for my middle school daughter through their online portal. Got a call at 3:30pm to advise that due to a 'glitch' in their booking system, our appointment should not have been made, and that I really should have called them directly to make an appointment. It's not their problem if their software messes up. So no appointment for us today. Reinforced over the phone by receptionist and later in store by Amy, the store manager.Doesn't help me in the least, as my daughter won't have her phone back on until 4:50pm, so I have no option except to meet her at MyEyeDr as we had previously arranged.Amy advised that their booking system is glitchy and I really should have called directly. Translate that to ' It wasn't us. this is your fault." Amy queries me as to what do I want her to do, as it's not their fault.Amy, make a better effort at accommodating patrons when YOUR processes fail ME."Would I like to book another appointment?" Amy asks......."Yes I would.BUT NOT HERE!"(As with another patron, I have gone to the next town over to book our appointments. Thats 5 years before college for teen #1, 4 years for teen #2, 3 years for teen #3. Our insurance covers our children up to age 26.Thats a lot of eye exams and products for Westport instead of Fairfield.)

I would have loved to give a five star review but can't. I'm filing a complaint against this Dr office as soon as I finish this review. I called this morning to order a new pair of glasses because mines just broke again (for the second time in the same spot). The lady on the phone told me I had to have another eye exam because my prescription expired in 2022. I tried to tell her the glasses i were using up until last night when they broke worked perfectly fine and I just wanted to come in to order a new pair but she insisted I "have another exam" (aka-the doctor has to get paid from my insurance for another exam in order for me to get another pair of glasses). I got off the phone and thought about it further. I gave them another call to have the Dr give me a call back and a different woman answered the phone being very sarcastic just because I wanted to have the dr give me a call back. She was being weird and actually said it was unethical of her to tell the Dr to give me a call back (even though the the Dr is my eye Dr). All of this because I want a new unbroken pair of glasses and want to by pass the whole exam part until I'm ready.

The location is quite good, the staff are friendly and approachable (except one staff member), they didn't mind when I told them I didn't speak English and did their best to examine me. My glasses were delivered within 1 week of ordering and they were good about it. Finally, Dr. Sidet Sou is a very good doctor and a very friendly person, I highly recommend him, he is a great person.

The staff here is extremely kind and amazing. They are attentive, authentic and simply the best. Marz was patient with me as I tried on a plethora of glasses. Our experience helped me to step out of my comfort zone. He is also super knowledgeable. Denika was informative, also patient with me as we went over budgeting and practicality. Let’s not forget the Optometrist Sue! After flying in from Texas, and not having much sleep, she offered me tea. She introduced me to bifocals. At first I was skeptical, but the team encouraged me to try something new, and helpful to the health of my eyes . In the event I don’t like that method, I can always go back to my regular routine. Thank you team at the Fairfield location. You all rock!

Front end needs some training on customer service. Felt like I was being a burden being there. However Dr. Sou is always friendly and helpful.

From the moment I walked in until I left I felt a warm hospitable vibe from everyone. The receptionist, Dr Chau and Danika! All my glasses issues were solved and eye diagnosis updated! Thank you Myeyedr Fairfield team!

I have been going to this Eye Dr. for 5+ years. Today I ran into traffic and arrived 20 min late, when I walked in and said I was arriving for my appointment, MyEyeDr representative said we have a 10min grace period, I said I excuse me? Can you fit me in? He said sorry no we can reschedule you. there was no one in the waiting area (which I have waited for my appointment every time I have been to this eye doctor). I looked at all communications with my appointment and there was no statement of 10min grace period. There was no effort to help in this situation. All three employees were just sitting alone in the store... I am leaving MyEyDr for good, and will tell everyone of this poor customer service, so to those three employees, better start dusting since its going to be a lonely place.

Thank you Amy. My family and I have been customers for about 12 years now. I always liked the service. However, not until recently did I have an issue. Amy helped us out and handled it very professionally. Thank you again Amy.

I’m giving them 2 stars for Dr. Sou who is amazing!I walked in with an emergent issue, swelling of my upper eyelid and asked if they could please see me just for a quick exam. They emphatically said no. They said squeezing me in would detract from there other appointments. No one was waiting on the waiting room (of course they could have had patients in the exam rooms). I explained that I was a long standing patient of one of the doctors and that I was due to travel in the next couple of days. They had no empathy and still said no. On my insistence they asked the doctor (not Dr. Sou) if she would see me and she also said no.Terrible business practice! Really unfortunate, I work in the same industry and I definitely will not be recommending them.

Dr refused to give me my eye prescription even after my exam because i order contacts from a 3rd party website. Was told “our system doesn’t do that” I have no choice but to report this because it is against the law.

I went for an eye exam and to get new glasses. The Doctor and Eye Exam were Great. He was thorough, and I was happy. Eye glasses not so much. The glasses are hugely expensive. I am recently retired, and getting a basic pair of glasses, with progressive lenses, with Transition lenses and anti-glare would cost over $1,200. Without transition and anti-Glare and applying my insurance still was going to cost me almost $500. Initially, I had agreed to the glasses, then immediately changed my mind, as I sat there in the office. I wanted to see if I could find same/similar glasses cheaper elsewhere. I did. But they had already run my credit card. They were not able to give me refund. Something about their new system. Here it is 3 days later, and, they still can't process my refund. Their manager, administrator are not able to help. I called their billing company to try and get this revolved. Still no luck. So I escalated to the MyEyeDoctor National number. I also called my credit card to contest the charge. The corporate office was eventually able to fix it, but it won't be applied for 3-5 business days. This was an unnecessary pain. I may get eye exams here in future, but not glasses.
