I've stayed here twice now when visiting my parents. This place is clean and ample without breaking the bank, and it's in a prime location right off the highway. They were doing some maintenance during my most recent stay, which I didn't mind since staff communicated effectively and resolved the matter quickly. Only thing is I do feel that housekeeping is a little hasty to enter occupied rooms--they unlocked my door on each of the two mornings of my stay despite my having posted the Do Not Disturb sign outside and being physically present behind the door to communicate that they could skip my room for service. Aside from that, I enjoyed my stay and would come again.

I would only recommend this place if you don't have any other options. When I checked in to the rooms, I realized they don't have any mini fridge, bath robes, no toothbrush or paste. I had to use a 7-11 to purchase snacks, and water. There is a restaurant nearby. Subpar I would say. On the last night of my stay, the fire alarm went off in the night. There was no one from the hotel in the building. One of the guests had to call 911 and we tried to call the HiHo management but no one answered. I only had to stay for 2 nights but if I have to visit Connecticut again, I will not be staying here.

This is a motel, not a hotel. No breakfast, no amenities other than a restaurant attached. Roku tv is a limited offering. No lobby, no check-in assistance on site. It seemed reasonably clean though. I’m not sure we’ll return.

Extremely loud . A disturbing fight broke out with police and ambulances . Horns beeping and loud music very late into the night . I felt as though I was sleeping on the side of the road. Outrageous price for this type of stay with ZERO sound proofing

Favorite place to stay in Fairfield after trying all the options, even if they no longer serve free breakfast. Always clean and love Roku tv and the toiletries. Major bonus to have Barcelona and a liquor shop downstairs.

Pros- Cow pillows as advertised.Very clean and comfortable room, updated bathroom.Fantastic bar/lounge located on the premises with a variety of gin drinks. We did not eat there, but it seemed seafood heavy and the decor was delightful. Open late which was nice for us!Cons- Fear was instilled by signs regarding the shower steam potentially setting off the smoke detector, however, we were successful in not setting it off! There was no fridge, and we couldn't find the ice, but neither of those are the fault of the hotel.Construction across the street seemed to be moving fast, exciting show with your morning coffee, and hopefully something convenient will be going in across the street! We were unable to get Wi-Fi on our personal devices, but Hi Ho tech worked great!Overall very interesting building, would definitely stay again!

The cleaners came right into the room at 9am, 2 hours before check out. The room code didn't work until the third code given. Room smells like cigarettes. The restaurant snd the wine shop are the best parts of this motel. Its definitely just a motel and not a

I came back and had to change my 3 star review to a 1 star because we got scared awake to our door opening at 8:36am for room cleaning. Not sure if they knocked we didn’t hear it until the lock clicked open. Something written right out of a horror movie. Pretty terrible way to be woken up while on vacation. Not sure why they needed to be in the room that early on our check-out date.Original reviewWe had a hard time with the check in process which would have been incredibly easier if there was information available about HOW to check in. On their website they mention easy no contact check-in and in the main lobby it also says contactless check-in. Which is great and something I’m familiar with. However there is nowhere where is says HOW to check in text? Email? Call? Which was frustrating and confusing. Adding this information to the website and main lobby would have greatly improved our experience. There is also this “pre-check-in process” and and “check-in process” which as a guest was pretty confusing trying to navigate as we did not have service in the hotel parking lot nor did the wifi work well.We booked through a separate site which meant that we were “sent” an email but it went to an email address connected to the booking platform and not our email address. Again frustrating to figure out. Our check-in process took about an hour which was a pretty rough start to our stay. We unfortunately had to call the number provided 2x during the check in process which could have been entirely avoided if there was better communication between the location and guests. The person we spoke to each time was very helpful. I hope this feedback is constructive in providing a better experience for future guests.

Clean traveler's rest along CT 15 in Fairfield. Great restaurant on site making it an enjoyable evening. The room is basic, clean and modern with a comfortable bed. Three stars for service however as there is no one onsite for check-in or aid.

Perfect place right off of the highway to stop for an overnight in the area. My family and I are up for a day visiting my daughter at Yale and stayed overnight to break up the trip. Quiet with simple boutique style rooms. The Restaurant is amazing as well! Open late (10p) on a Sunday night.

It portrays itself as a "boutique" hotel but the carpet was dirty (I don't recommend walking barefoot) and the air handler (I think that's what it was) makes a humming sound in the bathroom loud enough to make my ears ring. I spent an almost sleepless night here many years ago when our home's floors were being refinished and I was optimistic enough to think some of the issues would be corrected. Nope. We walked out 10 minutes after we arrived even though we knew we would be charged for the night. Guess what: When we arrived home, we found they had billed for TWO nights! My advice? We ended up at the Best Western Hotel only a few minutes away and had a perfectly fine experience and a good nights sleep.
