Great Service from Pat and the Team at Honda of Westport Service Center
I recently worked with Pat, the manager at Honda of Westport Service Center, to have a new engine installed in my Cadillac ATS4, which was covered under warranty. Pat was professional and ensured that the work was completed to a high standard. When I picked up my car, I was pleasantly surprised by the condition it was in—it looked and felt even better than when I first bought it.
I also want to acknowledge Melanie, Pat’s assistant manager, who helped me secure a Honda loaner while my car was being serviced. Her assistance made the entire experience much easier, and I appreciated her efficiency.
Overall, the team at Honda of Westport Service Center did a great job, and I’m satisfied with the results. I would recommend them to others in need of automotive service.

I typically refrain from writing service reviews, as I prefer to give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. However, my recent experience at Honda of Westport Service Center on Linwood Ave, Fairfield, CT, compels me to share my insights for the benefit of others who might find this information crucial.
I made an appointment three days in advance for service on Friday, July 19, 2024. The appointment scheduling was efficient, and I appreciated the prompt availability.
Upon arrival, an elderly gentleman courteously took my car to the service area. His attitude was professional and pleasant.
At the service desk, I was informed that the scheduled service, including a multi-point inspection and oil change, would cost $80, and a coolant replacement would cost approximately $252. This seemed reasonable, and I had no initial concerns.
However, the situation quickly deteriorated:
After waiting for over 1.5 hours, a service advisor informed me that additional repairs were necessary. The proposed repairs included replacing brake pads and rotors ($768 + $780 for wheels), engine air filter, cabin air filter, and a cracked belt, bringing the total to over $2200.
I questioned the need for new air filters, as I had replaced them myself only four months prior, and the car had only been driven 500 miles since then. The service advisor initially claimed the filters were very dirty but quickly backtracked when I challenged this. It became evident that he had not accurately assessed the condition of the filters. This raised serious doubts about the integrity of their recommendations.
Unsure about the brake pads and rotors, I agreed to proceed with their replacement, bringing the new total to $1800. After waiting for another hour, the service advisor returned, claiming they could not replace the pads and rotors due to a completely damaged caliper, which would cost an additional $450 to repair. This brought the total to over $2000.
By this point, I felt deceived. The service advisor offered no discounts or accommodations, despite my awareness of available service coupons. When I presented a 15% discount coupon, the advisor appeared visibly uncomfortable.
Ultimately, the final bill exceeded $2000, far beyond the initial expectation of a simple oil change. At checkout, I meticulously reviewed the bill, questioning several charges. The service advisor was uncommunicative and unfriendly, and did not even offer a courteous farewell as I left.
In conclusion, my experience at Honda of Westport Service Center was profoundly disappointing. The encounter felt like a deliberate attempt to inflate costs unjustifiably, undermining my trust in their services. The demeanor of the staff further exacerbated the negative experience.
I hope this account serves as a caution to others. My faith in this service center is now shattered, and I will not be returning. Proceed with caution if you decide to patronize this establishment.

The biggest con is the fact that i had a 10:30am apt for a oil change and did not get out until 1pm… what is the point of making an appointment if you still have to wait 2+hrs?!
Ive came many times without an appointment & have waited the same amount of time. Is there really a point to make an apt? Still have to wait hoursss

Third time we come to do the service of our 2021 Honda CRV here and I would honestly recommend anyone that’s buying a vehicle at Westport Honda to NOT do such just for the simple fact that they will have to do their service here until warranty is over.
Very very disappointed on their service. First time, my husband and I came just for the oil change and to install a simple lower rear bumper trim that they promised us when bought April the 8th WITH appointment and they made us wait three hours to just do the oil change. They said that the part was not ordered even though there was record that we had mentioned we needed it installed because they needed it to see it first. Fine, next morning they text my husband to tell him the trim was ready to be installed so he came in the morning and they made him wait until noon to get that “installed” and just because he told the lady he’s done it before and that he could do it himself if they wanted since it takes less than 10 minutes. Magically after that, in less than 20 minutes the vehicle was ready to go. Now, third time (today), Vinny is the only service advisor that speaks Spanish and because of that, he was the one helping my husband since I was running a couple minutes late. Again, we made an appointment for vehicle to be inspected because the recently purchased car at Honda Of Westport was making some things that were not normal when it only has 42,000 miles and was sold as Honda certified. Vinny was very snarky at all times, was saying that the car was not new and that we shouldn’t expect it to work immaculate, he said that this time he won’t charge the diagnostic but to not expect that for future times because all the warranties that they sold us don’t cover diagnostics since we had put miles to the car (again, we bought the car on April and the car has currently 49,000 miles). He said that the diagnostic should be ready by 4pm even though we had an appointment for 10am and that he couldn’t offer any kind of loaner or similar in the case the car had to be worked on for a couple of days. If it was for him, we were not going to ask any questions of what’s to followed because as soon as he finished speaking told us “that’s all” in Spanish which means you may go now.
Once this work is done we will contact Honda of Westport to see if we can transfer the service somewhere else because we are very disappointed of the service offered here.

Every time I bring my car for an oil change they always find something else need to be change or replace. They told me that I need to change the battery of the car, so I went to Autozone and let them check my battery and it's 100% fine. I hope they can be honest and reliable so they can keep their customers happy and loyal

I work down the road and have never used this service place before. On Thursday evening I got a flat tire on my vehicle on the way home. I managed to pull into the lot to find the place closed. As I was searching my phone for road side service a gentleman came out of the building. He asked if he could help. Next thing I see he returns into the garage and comes out with “Ted” a technician. They opened the garage, lead me to a seat and looked at my vehicle. They found a nail in my tire and was able to fix my flat…all after closing time.!! I can’t say enough wonderful things about theses men. I lengthened their day and all they could say was “ we could never leave someone stranded “! So nice to know there are Great people in this world! I will be a client forever!! Thanks Pat and Ted!!

If you aren’t a local and need a quick oil change. AVOID AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I went in for a simple oil change here due to me being away from my regular service center. I never asked of any transmission oil to be added, but upon me leaving, 1 week later my transmission starts to leak. I had to pump out over a quart of ATF fluid out that wasn’t there before the oil change. This place will try to scam you if they can.
one month prior I went to a honest honda service center at Tarrytown, NY and the 24 point inspection was all green but as soon as I did the inspection here, so how in one month time everything is yellow? Thats a scam in plain sight, be careful bring your honda here. If possible go to a better honda service center. they also will try to sell you the wrong type of motor oil for your car. Great place to get ripped off and mess your car up, they will quote you easily with the expensive repair or heck they might sell you a new car after they mess yours up!
