Excellent Service - As Always
My 2007 Honda CRV had a worrisome loud whirring noise that I couldn’t get to happen again. And it wasn’t the type of noise one should ignore! John was able to find and fix the problem! He also did preventative maintenance and tuned up the car. Dave made sure I was provided estimates and asked if I want the work to proceed each time they found a problem that needed to be fixed! And both John and Dave provided timely updates by directly calling me. Excellent service - as always - by two professionals who know cars and how to run a business! It’s rare these days to receive superb client service and experience!!!

David and John are the best in the business. When I need service they get me in, assess the issue, and resolve it quickly every time! They are also the most honorable in the business - they stand by their work; if something needs to be addressed after they finish the job, they will get it take care of and not hit you with additional charges.

Called Fairfield Automotive Service, as a first time customer, based on great reviews online and was not disappointed. David answered the phone quickly- was professional, courtesy and accomodating. He was able to squeeze me in for a repair on my VW same day.
Car sounds great and they were a pleasure to deal with. Found myself a new mechanic in town! Thank you!

Had my Jeep a few years w a very large pup. Had to take front seat out when I bought it new from factory. I miss my pup so much but the shop was happy to install the new seat I had stored. They are dog lovers. They did not charge for this service. I was very grateful as it was quite an emotional day for me…I will always miss my ride or die boy.

Such a great experience. As someone who has always driven past, I’ve never gone to the repair shop. In my desperation before travelling by car out of town, they squeezed me in super last minute (during their lunch) with my whining brakes. John instantly found the cause during an initial inspection and did speedy work. Walked me through the issue and resolution. Was honest and gave me the price upfront so I knew what I was going to need. That was much appreciated and within 2hrs my car was fixed! The efficiency won me over as they immediately set to work on it especially with other cars being repaired. Should also note as a bonus, the cleanliness of the front office was refreshing! Nothing like I’ve seen before at other shops. Didn’t smell of motor oil or covered in it giving you a sore throat but instead had a very retro vibe with black and white movies playing as you wait. All in all it was a wonderful experience! I’ve definitely found my new go-to mechanics!

I’ve had nothing but good experiences at Fairfield automotive. John and Dave took care of my old jeep grand Cherokee rebuilding the top end replacing the radiator and other components. 20,000 miles later and 105,000 miles on the car it’s running perfectly. Stopped by today with a problem of some 18 mm bolts I could not remove to put in a hitch receiver, John was good enough to come out with an impact driver and remove the bolts at no charge. Try that at your auto shop.

A recent move to the Fairfield area had me looking for reliable auto services. FAS was recommended. They are everything you want and a rare find. Knowledgeable about all makes of cars, honest, and fair, even after one visit I can tell I won't need to look further. I went in for a scheduled service and was told many items on the list weren't at the point of needing care. Who does that anymore? Only businesses you can trust. This is one.

John saved me around $300 by checking a reco made by Splash mechanics that I didn’t need. And he did it for free.
Update: July 2024: Fairfield Auto to the rescue again. Engine light kept coming on; John put thru the computer test, free, and re-set so I could pass emissions. When the light comes back on, I'll go to him to assess and fix.

These guys are incredible. I broke down on the highway a mile away and thank god I limped my way into their place. They obviously had a full day, but squeezed me in and Had me back on the road in a couple hours

My front wheel was making a squeaking noise, dropped my car off in the morning and they called me back during the day, told me there was a stone stuck in between, no charge!! Thanks guy's.
