This place is the FIRST hardware store that I've felt comfortable in. The staff are superb people, and treat everyone -- whether or not we know the term for a particular wing nut or not -- like human beings. BRAVO

I was sold an 80 dollar gallon of green paint that I was told would be good enough for one coat for a very small office. It clearly needed 3 coats at least. I went back after using the entire first gallon. I understand green paint is harder to cover with. But they also knew what color it was when they made it and told me one coat would suffice. Made zero effort to rectify the situation or even offer a modest discount on a second gallon. That was my first and last time shopping there. Went to Sherwin Williams and paid 20 less for the exact same quality product.

Independently owned. Had everything I needed and then some! Service was exceptional and the staff very knowledgeable. Couldn't have been more pleased with my visit here! Definitely gained another loyal customer.

I needed some sanding belts fit my sander, as I was in the middle of a deck project.... Stopped at Essex Hardware, looked for the belts myself and couldn't find them.... Asked an employee working in an aisle and he said, "follow me".... Took me right to what I needed. Pricing was reasonable as well... definitely a hardware store to support.... Thanks, see you soon

Saved my 4th of July. Not only did they have the grill I was looking for, but they set it up and delivered it on the same day. They have earned a customer for life. Can't say enough!
