I needed new tires and had been shopping around for a while. We were looking at our dealership where we bought the car, Town Fair Tire, and then eventually, Essex Detailing. Essex Detailing came back with the best price and was able to get our tires put on the car within 24 hours of making an appointment! They went above and beyond by meticulously detailing my toddler-worn car and by being flexible with drop off and pick up time.
This experience was way better than any experience we’ve had for ANY car service. Town Fair Tire does say that they will match any price, but it’s not without automated voice prompts, and then proving that we got a cheaper price.
I would recommend Essex detailing for any of their services! Can’t beat the service, the value, and the local experience.

We had a tire blowout on our car heading to the shore. I drove the run-flat tires to the next exit and happened by Essex Tire. It was almost 8PM and nothing was open, but an employee was renting a UHaul and ran into the adjacent house to find the owner. Jim was very gracious and not the least bit inconvenienced. He explained that he wouldn’t be able to get a tire that late, but would rent us a van to get home and we could leave the car and he would change the tires the next day.The next day I drove the van back and he was finishing up replacing the tires. Having spent 10+ years in automotive service, I was impressed by his attention to detail with each aspect of the process. Every lug was greased and torqued by hand. He washed every wheel and even included a hand-written thank you note on the dash.The waiting room was a step back in time with all sorts of antiques and old signs and nostalgia, but it’s the service that makes you feel like you’ve genuinely stepped back to a time when people cared about their neighbors and every extra detail was not overlooked.

New Michelin Pilot Super-Sport tires for my Corvette today. As always, Jimmy & Bev exceeded my already high expectations. Extreme attention to detail, quality workmanship, fair price and just a pleasure to do business with. This is a longstanding family-owned and run business here in Essex - and it shows in everything they do. My 5-Star rating would be a "10" if that was possible!!

Jim and Beverly provide excellent service! We called about getting a quote for new tires and in 24 hours, they were on my car. When we went to pick up my car, the exterior was washed and interior had been detailed, with a thank you note on my dashboard. Jim did a safety check with the new tires and told me everything he'd noticed. I'll absolutely return for my next set of tires!

I went here for 4 new tires and when I picked up my 2012 Subaru, I hardly recognized it; actually I was in shock. It was waxed and beautiful and looked like a brand new car. Even the hazy turn signals were alive and bright. The interior that was woven with years of dog hair that I could not vacuum out no mater what attachment I used, was miraculously clean. Each tire that was mounted was perfectly aligned with the tire stem indicator mark (something that I have never seen in my 40 years of car ownership). Doing business with Jim and Beverly is so pleasantly personable that I was afraid to write a positive review as I want to keep them hidden from the rest of the world...then I saw all the other positive reviews. I am so grateful to have such a quality business in my own small town. If I ever move, I would drive 300 miles just to get my tires done here again. As Jim says, "If you LOVE what you do, you will never work a day in your life" THANK YOU both!!!!

Called late in the day , close to closing , with a tire issue. Needed four new tires ASAP. Spoke with Beverley about my dilemma . She checked availability of tires and called me right back . The time from when I called and me driving away with four new tires mounted and balanced on my car was less than two hours .Not only were Beverley and Jim friendly and efficient , when I got in my car to leave there was flowers and a Thank you for patronizing their business note card . Amazing . Remember when business owners were grateful for your business and treated you as so .Thank you , thank you , thank you Jim & Beverley.I highly recommend this business and will be back to have my car detailed .
