I had an appt for 5:30 and I can’t believe I actually waited until 7pm before leaving without having my nails done.. Tammy was doing multiple people’s nails at once and was very unprofessional. It was a very stressful and dirty environment.

3:00 appointment. Not one word that they were running behind. Waited an HOUR for someone to come over to do mom's nails. No apologies, nothing. So unprofessional. Never again.

Ive never been turned away as a walk-in - no matter how busy. The girls are all good at what they do & all are very professional & nice. It’s gotta be difficult being as busy as they are for an entire workday 6 days per week. I commend their dedication & hard work. I’ll always come back.

Went in today first time. Sat at station
First thing I noticed was how dirty everything on the table was. She took out an Altoids tin with dirty metal files and dust in it. I asked her to please put in alcohol first. They laughed.
I said this place is disgusting and walked out.
Do Connecticut nail salons ever get inspected???

My nails are usually very nice when I leave Kim’s. The last two times I had the same nail tech, Lynn. She rushes and goes very fast and does very sloppy work. My nails are all different lengths and shapes, the polish is messy and there is dust under my topcoat. I tried to politely ask her to slow down and be more careful and she ignored me and went faster. A full nail service should not take only 30 minutes

terrible job! went in to get my toes painted. rushed through the service, did a horrible job with the polish, cut my toe in the process of filing, didn’t even clean up the polish or anything

I truly never thought this day would come. I have been a customer at Kim's Nails for close to 10 years now. I moved over an hour away and still make the trip down there every 2 weeks because until today, I was convinced they were the best in the area. Which is why, over the years, I can count at least 10-15 people I have sent there to give Kim's more business. Sadly, Thursday my last time at Kim's - much to my disappointment:(
Yesterday, I made the hour long (2 hours if you count the commute home) trip to get a fill and a pedicure. Both looked wonderful at the end! However today, my toe nail polish (even though I paid extra for gel) almost completely came off. I haven't even had my toes done for 24 hours. But you know what? Mistakes happen. I called and explained the situation and asked NOT for a refund, but rather proposed that the next time I came for a fill, they could take off $5-10. After all, I can't come back there without it costing me more money in gas, so this seemed like a fair compromise.
I was quickly dismissed by the man on the phone who told me it was against their policy to give refunds or take money off a future appointment. I was absolutely shocked and immediately disheartened. I have been a customer of Kim's Nails for at least 10 years and have actually experienced worse mistakes than this but gave them the benefit of the doubt by never bringing up the issue. Instead, I continued being loyal and sending them business. So now, I'll just dispute the full transaction (full is required by my bank), you'll lose the money I paid in its entirety (that I didn't even want back) and you'll lose a loyal customer. I just wish the owner would see how taking 20 seconds out of her day to acknowledge a mistake happened and would take $5 off MY NEXT APPOINTMENT WITH THEM would've cost them $5 as opposed to losing the potential $10,000+ I would've spent (and sent in referrals) in the coming years.
I don't want to support a business that doesn't take care of it's customers.

This was my 4th time getting my nails done at Kims, I've had one pedicure there so far also. Everytime I've gone I've loved the results and the experience. The nail artists are all very nice and have done my nails exactly the way I've asked. Pictures are my most recent visit!
