Bought for the Christmas holidays- best kielbasa- perfectly smoked, just the right amount of garlic and spices no gristle, just delicious juicy meat. Highly recommend you try it!

This is the best kielbasa-flavorful, just the right amount of garlic and smoke-no gristle, just delicious meat. Grew up 6th Street, Avenue A-Avenue B on the lower eastside of Manhattan in the 50's and 60's - reminds me of the Polish butcher's sausage! Highly recommend you try it!

I've bought Janik Kielbasa for years . It's just the absolute best. Perfect balance of spices and "crunch".

Drum roll...for my 100th review.... For packaged kielbasa, Janik is definitely the best of the best. Janik makes their products in a small brick building in the Hazardville section of Enfield. Their products are available in supermarkets mostly in northern CT (Stop & Shop, Big Y, Shop Rite, Geisslers). Growing up in Yonkers NY, I was exposed to some really great Polish meat markets (miasarnias) in Yonkers and the lower east side of NY. Also, some really good ones in New Britain where the rings hang from the ceiling. Janik rivals them. There is a reason they have been in business w the same recipe since 1899...they are that good. Lots of my friends like the rings bbq'ed. I prefer boiling for about 30-40 minutes until the skin splits. Really tasty w a good mustard or horseradish. Leftovers are diced, fried and made w scrambled eggs. And if my above testimonial doesn't convince you, let me say that Astoria Eddie, AKA The Kielbasa King, gives Janik two thumbs up. And he's a hard man to please!

I moved to the Boston area a few years ago, and have yet to find a Polish kielbasa as good as Janik Sausage. It's naturally smoked and has a good balance of spices which makes this kielbasa stand out from the rest. When I visit relatives in CT, I make sure to pick up a few rings to bring home and throw in the freezer for future meals!
