Horrible horrible . Your money will be taken with no explanation of what was done . The owner and his wife are crooks who will tell you anything to get you in the door . The manager Rick is worthless unprofessional human . they made so many errors on my vehicle and made me pay for it . The place is unorganized and filthy , they run thru employees like I change my underwear , they promised me a itemized bill and almost 100k later I have no idea what I paid for but a joke of a car at the end . The only thing that looked professional was the interior they made and when I went back the upholsterer who made it was gone. When I went back to get things repaired or adjusted they made me leave the property ,That was the biggest slap to my face . My advice is never ever ever come to this place and give them any of your money . I have to have it all redone by chuck at twin brooks .. they are true professionals

After 25 plus years in the garage, my beloved 1952 MG TD was in serious need of help. I had expected it to be my retirement project but the restoration was beyond my ability. The issues were numerous and required a wide range of expertise to address. Just a few examples include the engine, which had seized, the upholstery, which had been completely destroyed by mice, the convertible top, which needed replacement, and the gas tank, which had rotted out.Enfield Auto Restoration is nearby and conveniently located for me. They were, therefore, an obvious first choice when searching for a restoration shop. I initially met with Ray, the owner, to discuss my car and get a tour. I was very impressed and actually amazed at some of the work they were doing. It was a complete shop that included separate areas for for such things as upholstery, paint, metal fabrication, and wood. One of the first things that they worked on was the gas tank, which on my car is on the exterior. They were able to cut out the bad area and weld in new metal that they had shaped to the original curved contour. In the end, it was a perfect job. My car remained there for the rest of the winter while they addressed the other issues, typically moving around in various sections of the shop. My MG is now back on the road and I'm very happy with the results, especially after all the years it spent in my garage. With regard to the billing, the bills typically came once a month by mail. Each bill included an itemized list of parts and materials, work performed, man hours and labor cost. In some cases, they also included photographs of the work. The billed hours always seemed reasonable for the work preformed. I also know that they keep careful track of the time spent on the job. Each technician clocks in and out on a computer when working on a particular car.I would recommend Enfield Auto Restoration. This is a friendly and honest shop. It is owned and operated by real car people. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention Rick, the shop manager. On more than one occasion, Rick exceeded my expectations when it came to customer service. Thanks Rick!

I highly recommend Enfield Auto Restoration for their high quality work and attention to detail. I entrusted my 1938 MG TA to them for recommissioning and they kept me updated throughout the process, identifying issues that required attention and ensuring that I was in control of the scope of work and budget at all times. I was especially grateful that they were willing to spread the work over an extended period so that the cost was affordable and predictable throughout the project. Upon completion I received the completed vehicle in perfect condition and working order and now I look forward to using it again after 14 years of inactivity. Thank you all at Enfield for a job well done.

They work they did on my 69 Chevy Corvair was impeccable. They brought it back to life better than factory but when I asked to do certain factory things, ( like keeping the factory seems) it was easy for them to take care of! %100 recommend this place to get your restoration needs.

I highly recommend Enfield Auto Restoration for any work on your older vehicle. I have a 69 Chevelle and Enfield Auto Restoration has done both minor and major work on it. Everything they have ever done on my car has been the highest quality. Their standards are higher than any shop I’ve ever worked with. They are knowledgeable, friendly and always communicating. There are few people in the industry that have their knowledge and expertise. I am currently rebuilding a 1985 RX7 and have taken parts there for refurbishment because they are so good. If you’re looking for a top quality, friendly and knowledgeable team, this is the place to go.

It is a pleasure doing business with Enfield Auto Restoration. I have a 1955 Thunderbird and a limited budget. They've managed my bit-by-bit restoration with care and dedication, understanding what I can afford, and making suggestions regarding the order in which we should proceed. It's not uncommon to see my car worked on side-by-side with a Rolls Royce and getting the same level of care.I don't trust everyone with my baby, but I trust them. I've done business with them for over 20 years.

I highly recommend Enfield Auto Restoration! I never leave reviews, but I am so happy to have found this shop! Brought my car here after one shop didn't want to take on the project and another was clearly gouging me. Prices were fair and the work was done quick! The staff were friendly, informative, and, most of all, transparent about the work that needed to be done! Quality work & quality people! Thanks again!!

For 18 months searching for someone anyone to help restore severely rotted rocker panels on a 1999 jeep. Every shop in western Massachusetts delivered painful blows "we have tons of collisions to fix, we can put rubber in place of rocker panels, sell it, junk it, give it to charity, I only fix high end cars and don't want to dirty my shop". After care thought, a coworker and friend mentioned having their vehicle restored 20 plus years ago by Enfield Auto Restoration. They boasted how they pleased they were with the restoration of their grandfather's old Chevy. No time wasted here. Called immediately and spoke to Debra (owner) who listened. Debra was warm caring and compassionate. She understood the importance of wanting to repair the jeep. I really appreciated Debra's compassion. Within no time she called to schedule work on the jeep. Everyone in the shop was professional, they took the time to explained step by step process. They turned my rotted out jeep into a brand new vehicle. These people are the real deal. They have been in business for a long time and know what they are doing. You are dealing with top of the line professionals. To Debra her husband the Enfield Restoration Team...a warm thank you for all you do for people. You are the best!!!

I brought my vintage vehicle to Enfield auto restoration .and I have no idea what I paid for .the manager there was completely incompetent and did not seem to have any knowledge of what was being done to my car ,the techs were very knowledgeable and do good work .the manager had no idea what was being done to my car and it bounced around that shop with no rhyme or reason racking up a bill the manager could not explain .the phrase "I don't know" came out of his mouth on m more than one occasion.while the knowledgeable tech would explain to me what he is doing the manager would stand there with his hands in his pockets clueless.so sad to say I was unable to have my car finished at this fine establishment.rick nor deb could not explain to be why my bill was what it was so beware .

I would not do business these folks ever again. My cars windshield was slipping down because they did not install the proper stops. I called them and wanted it fixed. Deb told me that it’s past 60 days. We don’t have responsibility. The way they treated me after they took 20 k of my money was absurd. I brought the car back for the window fix after bugging them for weeks.Ray the owner came out and started laying into me that he didn’t want me even waiting on his property. I drove it away without them touching the windshield.I have lots of issues with the work they did.The exhaust has to come down after they welded it in wrong. Too numerous to mention. Oh ask for an itemized bill. Good luck

BENEFITS FROM READING THIS REVIEWEnfield Restorations makes a very impressive presentation to potential customers but that's where it ends. The mechanic was knowledgeable and very friendly, as was the shop manager.I brought my 1962 Corvette into their shop to have minor repairs, inspection issues, brakes and a new exhaust system for 11-K. The gas sending unit and blinkers are no longer working and Deb, the book keeper and owner's wife, was unwilling to allow me to return the car to the shop to fix the problem, she said, “ they worked when you left, we can't be responsible once you leave.” I remind the reader that 30 days prior, I paid them (11-K) eleven thousand dollars. Is that customer service ?The impetus for today's complaint is about the Enfield Restoration NON-TRANSPARENT billing system. They are very quick to let the consumer know how much they owe Enfield Restoration but when I asked for a customary itemized bill, which is the industry standard, the book keeper, Deb, quickly told me, “no we don’t do that here! Do you know how many cars there are here and how difficult an itemized bill would be for all these cars.” So, how did they calculate my bill ? magic or is it all trial and error ? Their billing process sounds very suspect to me !It sounds like they charge you whatever they think they can get out of you. Once again, Deb admitted that mechanics give her “T sheets” to document the time spent on a particular car, on any given day but, for some reason, she is unwilling or incapable of providing me with an “itemized bill. “The book keeper's response regarding this issue: “No I am not going to give you an itemized bill, we don’t do that here and we have always done it this way!” and the best psychological deflection of all responsibility from the shop was “ it sounds like you have money issues, I don’t think we are the right shop for you.”I was then informed by Deb, that I was not welcomed back at Enfield Restorations, even though they had been paid in full. Yet to this day they have failed to correct my initial problems that I already paid them for. Is this a classic car restoration company that you really want to do business with, I think not! This is very much a cautionary note to any potential customer.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ENFIELD RESTORATION, OF ENFIELD CT, UNLESS THEY ARE WILLING TO PROVIDE YOU WITH AN ITEMIZED BILLING STATEMENT. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ACCEPT A NARRATIVE BILL. IF NECESSARY, ADD A STATEMENT TO THE CONTRACT THAT INFORMS ENFIELD RESTORATION THAT AN ITEMIZED STATEMENT IS REQUIRED BEFORE PAYMENT IS MADE.JOHN A. LANEVE
