I've been a customer of Benware Automotive for years, and I can't say enough about how fantastic this local business is. Matt and Crystal, the husband and wife team behind Benware Automotive, are some of the most honest, competent, and caring people you'll ever meet.
From the very first visit, I was impressed by their professionalism and dedication to customer service. Matt's expertise in automotive repair is top-notch, and Crystal's warm and welcoming presence always makes me feel valued as a customer. They take the time to explain every detail of the work needed and ensure that I understand my options, never pushing unnecessary services.
Their honesty is truly refreshing in an industry where it can be hard to find trustworthy service. I know I can rely on Benware Automotive to keep my car running smoothly without any hidden surprises. Their genuine care for their customers is evident in everything they do, and it's clear that they take pride in their work.

You can’t get better service than Benware. Fair pricing and top notch service. I’ve been fighting with a local dealership about an oil leak for months that the dealer kept saying didn’t exist. Benware took pictures of the leak on multiple occasions, called the dealer for me and even offered to go and show them the issue they claimed wasn’t there. They really go above and beyond for their customers.
As an added bonus: they have the most adorable “support staff” in Oakley and Niko, the best office dogs.

It was my first time with BenWare Automotive. I was given a date to bring my car in over 3 weeks from day I called, however in this situation it wasn't an issue. Normally it would be. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and Crystal seemed to be courteous, and friendly. The issue I brought my car in with was 2 parts. My headlights wouldn't shut off. Secondly, my blinkers worked intermittently.They would work all day, then just not turn on Little while later, with no pattern would work again. Obviously, very dangerous, and risk of being pulled over. After having my car for a day, and charging a diagnostic fee close to 150$ and the fix came to 399 dollars and change. Picked it up, and within 3 hours blinkers not working, then working. I called Crystal right away, and was texted back that " the problem must be deeper, and they could see me in again close to 3 weeks. I called, and got nowhere. She was condescending, spoke over me, and told me it they were working when I picked the car up. OBVIOUSLY, they sometimes worked, and sometimes didn't. Conclusion---- I called Aamco diagnostic. They came to my home. Stayed, and looked until the blinkers stopped working ( bout 45 mins.) Then played with a couple dials, and switches. Fixed!!!!! Absolutely, NO Charge. Do not waste your time, or money at BenWare automotive. Sorry, I did. Will let everyone I know as well. Extremely disappointing.Service: Electrical repair

Matt and crystal run a great place! They are honest and do great work! Customer service is on point! I will only take my car here from now on. They are unlike any shop I’ve been to. Benware Automotive is one of the best automotive repair shops in Connecticut.The owners Matt and Crystal made sure that my vehicle was fully inspected and completed all maintenance work on time with reasonable prices. Communication was excellent and Matt even taught me how to change the engine air filter.If you're looking for a local family owned automotive repair shop Benware Automotive is certainly worth the visit.Services: Oil change

Great customer service and very reasonable. I was told I needed something replaced but when I brought it to Benware they me told it could be welded instead. They saved me over $600!!! I will definelty bring my car back here when I need service even though I have 4 or 5 places within 5 mins of where I live. Thank you Matt and Crystal, you guys are the best!!

Benware Auto was recommended to me by a good friend. The service and quality is outstanding. This is a hidden gem of a repair shop. The husband and wife team, Matt and Crystal go above and beyond to make sure your troubles stop with them. I've had quick service, friendly talks and advise, and affordability over other shops inflation. Depending on the availability of parts (supply chain issues) I have always got my truck back same day or next business day. Yes I said truck, they work on it all. Bring your vehicle there, you will not be disappointed.**Due Note** They bring their fur kids with them, in the office. So be ready to be sniffed and rubbed up on by their affectionate (bigger) pups.

Crystal and Matt consistently go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They are accommodating and transparent with you, and never try to “sneak one past you,” like many other auto shops. They’ve earned two lifelong customers in my wife and I. I can’t recommend them enough to anyone who needs work on their vehicles.

I called Crystal and Matt when my starter died on my 24 year old car. They were able to take my car in right away and they did an amazing job getting it back to me in a timely fashion even though it was such a huge job. They called me to give us updates every step of the way!
