I absolutely think that Tri-Town is the best market around this area. The products are of excellent quality and the store isn't overwhelming large. The staff is more than helpful, friendly, and professional. The staff are willing to help you find anything in the store. I absolutely love the ready made hot foods and the freshly chopped fresh fruit. Absolutely the best shopping experience for me. Keep up the great work that you do. Thank you for being the best part of East Lyme Connecticut. A forever customer. Eve Holliday

Quite often things placed under wrong pricing. Extremely rude management. Held up a very long line, with 2 cashiers.

Good to shop in a pinch but be careful I’ve come across a nice amount of products passed the expiration date still being sold on the shelves. Also, the smell inside is terrible and such a turn off to shop.

Firstly, my visual impression: very clean! Well organized and prods were well stocked, fresh dairy, meats, etc. I had come off a bad IGA exp in Mystic at McQuades Mkt. When i tell you to visit both these mkts you will see the difference between an unclean, poorly stocked, dirty mkt in Mystic with really bad management & poorly behaved cashiers and stock staff and the outstanding, well trained, well stocked, clean more affordable IGA market in East Lyme off Flanders Rd & Rt 1! All we can say is Tri-town Market rocks! Youve got a family who'll be shopping you wkly for the next 20 yrs. Kudos to management and exc work ethic in a sm town, local market. Just shop this place, you wont regret it!!!

Beefeaters take note: Consistency Kudos: Gotta give a shout-out to TriTown for maintaining a consistently excellent selection of certified Angus beef (CAB) in meat department - before, during & after pandemic... I am very picky about beef - I prefer CAB over others. What matters to me is quality (including taste), cut of meat and price. Yes, I do purchase meat from other local butchers & grocers as well as directly from the farm (by the side usually 1/2, occasionally the whole). Each place seems to excel in basically 1-2 things: Tritown happens to be CAB (and chicken breast but saving that for another day). As I mentioned in the beginning, Tritown CAB is consistent in quality (taste). Now let me address price: WHEN TRI TOWN HAS A SALE on the cut(s) of meat you like: BUY. Forget by the pound, "BUY BY THE SIDE". It may cost you a couple hundred $ up front - you'll save hundreds of $ in the long run compared to normal price and even the sale price of some local competitors (I watch these too). Why? Consider my experience. Call around & price yourself. When I buy a side or whole direct, I pay for the hang weight (now varies from $6-8/lb +). At the time of this post, I pay around $1200 +/- ... I get plenty of every cut of CAB there is. This price typically includes butchering to my specifications & wrapping; no packing for shipping or minimal packing but no shipping (I pick up or I get soaked on all things shipping). Don't forget : coolers & ice packs cost $$ too. A 1/4 (quarter) of beef gives you 200-250 lbs of meat - whole, 1/2, 1/4 - all takes up a lot of coolers, car space, time, gas, tolls (round trip for you). $1200 is a lot of ca$h up front but I wind up with hundreds of lbs of beef. The only issue I have with buying a side from a farm is the amount of ground beef I wind up with. Don't get me wrong - buying a side of beef means around 50-lbs of minced meat - but there's only so many hamburgers & so much shepherds pie I can take... Once I factor in my costs & quality & cut preferences, Tritown CAB sale prices are within the range of what I pay buying directly. What I've been doing recently when I see a cut I prefer, like boneless NY Strip on sale - I will buy a side of that directly from TriTown. I know the quality I get will be wonderful & sale price is compatible...
