Staff seems to be decent. They have a better selection than some others in the area. But, if you drive a mile or so away, you could probably find gas .20c cheaper.

The owners are the reason I'll choose this over other gas stations in the area. Always friendly. CVS right down the way but I'd rather stop here and get my snacks and drinks to support their business

I've been a loyal customer of this Sunoco station for 20+ years. It's been under new management for the past year or 2 and I'm sure all the locals would agree that the former owner understood customer service. Anyway, several weeks ago there was a sign on both the door & registers asking for cash only since their card payment terminals were down. FF to today. I tried paying for gas along w/ several in store items and their terminal wasn't reading the chip on my card. The cashier asked me to reinsert my card and as I did, the manager (also the owner) who was at the next register reached over and jammed my card into the chip reader stating, "you don't have it in far enough!" I did have it in far enough, btw. Again, it failed to read my card so I tried swiping it to no avail and then reinserting it 3 more times. The 1st & 2cnd time the transaction went through as incomplete. The 3rd time the transaction went through no problem. The cashier & I were baffled as to why that happened and overhearing us the manager said, "It's your card." I asked him if he thought the machines might be acting up again. He said, "It's NOT my machines, it's YOU!" I said, "I noticed it processed 2 prior transactions as incomplete but the menu choices for payment type and cash back didn't come up until the 3rd try and then it completed the transaction." As I was attempting to explain this, he interrupted me multiple times and began shouting, "It's you, you don't know how to use your card!" "I can't explain to you if you won't listen!" "It's you! You're wrong!" I said, " Please let me finish telling you what happened from my end." He continued yelling and I raised my voice saying, "Stop interrupting me and let me finish explaining!" He continued yelling at me shouting, "I don't have time for this! Do you see all these people behind you!? You're holding everybody up!" There were 4 people in line, lol. He continued shouting over me so as I turned to leave, I said "You just lost a customer." Btw: I'd just used the same card at the Niantic P.O. prior to this and in 2 more establishments later w/ no issues whatsoever. This is the first time I've written a negative review and hopefully it will be my last.

Bathrooms are closed due to COVID but for some reason the guy behind the counter won’t wear a mask? Yeah ok.

I went here to have propane tanks filled. They charged me for a full 5 gallon fill for each bottle even thought the tanks were not completely empty. I attempted to explain to the attendant how they were over charging me for the propane and his only answer was that was how they do it. I also question if they even completely filled my tanks as the attendant never vented the bottle allowing the tank to fill. He also didn’t wear any protective gloves. What is going on here? Needless to say I won’t be coming back.

I see a lot of Good Changes under the New Management. Very Happy with the Grocery and other items well stocked up. You get ice-cream, slushy, fresh coffee, Sandwiches and many more.The workers are very friendly and always helpful.Overall Its the best grocery store in the neighborhood with a gas station and propane fill up station as well. Good luck Guys.

One of the few gas stations in CT that still offers full service. The only gas station that I have seen in CT that sells back issues of newspapers. At times store can appear a little understocked. Cappuccino and hot chocolate machines are always working, not producing watered down beverage, which is unusual (and a good thing). This is an ideal morning gas stop to go to if you do not want to deal with crazy morning rush hour customer volume. Brian Ghilliotti
