We have been going here for almost a year now and love it! Both the training and the daycare program has been great.

From the moment my 2 dogs arrive, tails wagging and tongues happily panting, it is evident that they are in for a day filled with excitement and endless fun. As they eagerly try to run into the building, their energy knows no bounds. The joy in their eyes and the sheer delight with every splash and paddle is a clear indication of how much they adore this place. The daycare’s pool adds an extra dimension of enjoyment for these Labradors. The refreshing water is not only a great way for them to cool down on warm days, but it also serves as an outlet for their boundless energy. Watching them swim and retrieve toys from the pool is a testament to their athleticism and love for the water.Beyond the pool, the daycare itself offers a safe and stimulating environment for these playful Labradors. The staff members are attentive, caring, and genuinely passionate about the well-being and happiness of the dogs in their care. They provide engaging activities, interactive toys, and ample space for the dogs to explore, socialize, and engage in their natural instincts. What sets this dog daycare apart is the genuine love and attention showered upon the dogs. The staff not only ensures their physical needs are met but also takes the time to give them affection, belly rubs, and individualized attention. This personal touch creates a nurturing and loving atmosphere that makes the Labradors feel right at home.As an owner, it is heartwarming to see how much these Labradors anticipate and thoroughly enjoy their time at this exceptional dog daycare. The pool, combined with the attentive staff and engaging activities, make it a true haven for their boundless energy and playful spirits. If you are seeking a dog daycare that goes above and beyond to provide a safe, stimulating, and fun-filled experience for your furry companions, look no further. This daycare with its pool is a haven for Labradors and dogs of all breeds, a place where wagging tails and joyful barks are the norm, and where every day is a tail-wagging adventure.

My grandmother enrolled her puppy in their training program on February 24th, 2023. My Ant, went with her to help with the training. The fee for day care and training was over $300.00 (non refundable)Our families new puppy began daycare on 2/27/23. On 3/2/23 (Thursday night) from 6-7pm was her second training night, the trainer who worked with our group was Jennifer, we were seated with nine other puppies in a large circle. During this session my grandmother was humiliated and embarrassed more so than she has ever been before in her entire life!! She is 84 years old and the trainer Jennifer repeatedly reminded the group that she was a trainer for over 12 years and asked my grandmother MULTIPLE TIMES as to why she decided to get a puppy. She had explained that my grandfather (her husband) of 45 years had just passed away and needed a companion in the home to spend her time with. After my grandmother emotionally explained that to everyone Jennifer INSISTED on continually asking her this same question throughout the session. Jennifer was extremely rude, had absolutely NO COMPASSION, and on purpose tried to humiliate my grandmother. Our puppy contracted kennel cough, and two different types of infections and had to go on antibiotics and had multiple blood works tests performed to get a final diagnosis, which we were told by an employee that our puppy wasn’t the only one who had gotten sick out of that group.Needles to say we will never return or recommend this facility or their trainer Jennifer.Very unprofessional.Angela, Karen, Elly(Excuse the user name my daughter made it for me.)

Most un empathetic establishment I’ve ever done business with . I work 3 jobs and send my puppy to their daycare for the last 5 weeks 3 days a week , as I’m single and live alone and just moved to the area a week before I got him . He’s a good puppy , but he’s that a puppy and is still learning. I had a death in the family recently , but because my puppy plays too rough ( not harmful ) but rough and I haven’t taken their “ mandatory “ class yet he was kicked out … I asked them for a day that works with my schedule was told it wasn’t till may 15th and he wasn’t allowed back before then . Great way to have empathy for someone and what’s been going on and instead of helping me out with other suggestions of how to help him behave better he gets kicked out . Horrible way of doing business . I’ll be sure to have him trained elsewhere . Thanks for all your help.update: Anyone seeing this should check out the BARK app for training and boarding ive spoken with 2 providers on there already that offer 2 week boarding and training , also stated the exact opposite to they have said this whole time at the daycare telling me he was aggressive , when he is very calm and so loving to everyone he meets at home and other dogs he interacts with on a daily basis with me. Glad I found somewhere else in just a day that treats their customers with respect and suggests things to help instead of demanding what they want without any help or compassion.

Review for My Dog's Place in East Lyme. I enrolled my puppy in doogie daycare and puppy Kindergartenon Feb.24th 2023. My daughter came with me to help with the puppy. The fee for doggie daycare and training was $302.03 non-refundable. My puppy went to doggie daycare on Feb.27th and March 1st. On March 2nd a Thursday night from 6 to 7pm was trainin. Thr trainer was Jennifer. We we're seated with our puppies in a large circle. Their was 10 people in attendance. I was never never so embarrassed in my life at 84 years old by the trainer. She continued to tell us that she has been a trainer for 12 years many many times. She asked me why did I get a puppy two times. I told her my Husband had passed away after 45 years of being married. I thought it would help me at this most difficult time. She then asked me two more times why did I get a baby. In dealing with this trainer she was rude had no compassion or consideration. Paying $302.03 is an expensive price to pay for that kind of treatment and service. Was not satisfied or impressed. Very unprofessional. Elly Thompson.

They have a clearly defined method of dog training that is based on positive reinforcement. They make a dog use its brain to get a treat. The facility is good, with obstacle courses. Puppy Kindergarten includes some free play time between training exercises.

The staff at My Dog’s Place care so deeply about the dogs that attend their daycare! You can see it in the excitement the dogs have when it’s time to enter. The staff at My Dog’s Place are top notch when it comes to pet care! Highly recommended!

We brought our young rescue dog to My Dog's Place for a 7 week Basic Obedience course this fall and it was an amazing experience! Marge was so patient with our wild child and we saw so much progress from week to week! She also made herself available before class and any time through email to answer questions about other behavioral issues not being addressed in the basic class. We will definitely be back for advanced classes in the future!

My Dog’s Place is NO place for your dog!! Stay far far away from this business! The owner, Marge is a liar. Back in our initial interview with her, I explained that our yellow lab has never been in a crate. She assured me that he would never be put into a crate unless it was an emergency situation. Flash forward to today, when I arrive to see my dog in a crate. Their explanation was that he was barking too much. That is completely unacceptable! If you are bothered by dogs barking, I am not sure why you are running this business.Furthermore, a month back, when I picked him up from school, his face was cut up and bloody. When I asked what happened, they stated that our 4 year old yellow lab was being aggressive. In four years, our dog has never attacked or been physical with anyone or animal. It was troublesome that not only did they fail to apologize but went so far as to blame my dog for his injuries. I can only assume this is because they do not want to be responsible for vet bills for his injuries.Do NOT take your dogs here!! Over the course of two years, my dog’s place has proved itself to be highly unprofessional and dishonest. You should not have to worry about a company lying to you and then blaming you for their own negligence. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
