We just completed our third Lexus SUV purchase from David McDermott Lexus of NewHaven. With each purchase, Anthony Faustini skillfully explained all the available options and features of our new car. We are really pleased with our purchase and the many years of servicing McDermott has provided on our vehicles.

While traveling from Massachusetts to Georgia I had a 2008 RX 350 showing serious warning lights. I contacted the closest Lexus dealer, which was McDermott of New Haven. They diagnosed the issues very quickly after the car was towed to them. This prompt attention was much appreciated. Dan and the rest of the team were great to work with, my problems were resolved and I resumed my trip.

He is beyond knowledgable and courteous. I had follow up services which he made simple and easy.

It can be tough to find honest salespeople but John will treat you right and make sure you have a very fair and welcoming experience when picking up your next Lexus vehicle.

My wife and I went to David McDermott to buy a car because I only have 1 F-350 and a van for work, so I really wanted a small car for other things. They asked me for a deposit of $$ to hold the vehicle for me, and I could return the next day to sign the papers. So far, so good.
The problem came from David when he told me that I needed to be at the dealership at exactly 4pm to speak with the finance manager (Jack), and that was exactly what I did. Even though I was working, I left everything to be there at 4pm. However, he didn’t have the same courtesy to be on time for me and made me wait more than 1 hour! I wasted my time and money because I couldn’t return to work.
Anyway, I tried to call them so many times to talk to Jack, but he didn’t answer me. I am not even sure he exists! I gave up on buying the car and asked David for my deposit back, after all, it was money ! 40 days later, and I still don’t have my check back!
Even if they have bank problems, how can you continue to sell cars and process payments and loans during this time? It doesn’t make any sense to me.
Be careful dealing with these people.

Excellent service buying my Mercedes @ a Lexus/ Chevrolet Dealership. From the huge selection of great new cars I found a gem among others of a vehicle with 55 thousand miles and a price that fit will all the perks of feeling like I’m at a world class dealer in some place in another world, where deals can be made and we all go home happy. That’s what I experienced. John Keklik and the Team are absolutely the best to work with. Deal done within a few hours on a weekend with no hassle. *******7-8-24. I realized I was scammed. After five repairs within 30 days by the McDermott I brought the title in once the lights start blinking and when I did, they all start coincidentally talking about their gun licenses how unprofessional then they tell me the story about “as is”and walk me to the door and tell me my car lost $5000 value if I want to trade it in. Problem as is you do not take a coil off my engine and make the check engine lights start blinking and give me my car back. That’s what they did. That’s a criminal act and I am seeking legal help. they turn the light off sold the car to me. I brought it back five times within three weeks and they turned the light off each time and then told me they took off a coil. I drove away. The blinking light came on. I went back to them they said as is and wanted to trade my car and take 5000 off the trade-in.

After years of getting service done at this place it was time for an upgrade. They offered me $100 for trade in. I took it to another dealership and with the exact same information I got 5200. This place is a total rip off. Be careful!

Just had an excellent experience buying a certified used Lexus from John Kelli’s of McDermott.
From my first phone call to inquire about the availability of the car, through driving it away Only a few short hours later,
the team at McDermott could not have been more professional and responsive.
I got a great car at a great price, and the process of purchasing was seamless and amazingly fast.
I would definitely recommend, and would return to this dealership, even though it’s quite a distance from my home…
