Our room was dated ie wallpaper was peeling off, needed painting, bathroom was small and not real clean. We asked for someone to unclog the bathtub and never got a response. We were there 3 nights and no one cleaned our room or brought fresh towels. Front desk people and maid services were not friendly. Very disappointing.

So disappointed in my stay here. I had booked Fri-Sun though capital one travel. Last minute I had to add Thurs night, so I called the hotel directly and booked one night though them and asked if we could just stay in the same room all weekend. All was fine. Upon arrival, I find missing lightbulbs, lights that just don’t work, missing batteries in the remote, trash all under the beds, and dozens of bugs. I speak to the front desk the next morning and they agree to partially refund the Thurs night stay, but tell me that I need to contact capital one to get any type of refund for the rest of my stay. They made it sound like they understood why I was upset but it was a technical issue on capital one’s part and that I would be able to take up with them later. I am alone with my daughter, have nowhere else to stay, so we decide to stay the rest of the weekend if they send housekeeping up. We leave for the day, when we return the room is exactly as we left it, but with fresh towels. When I get home, I call capital one to get my partial refund for the rest of my stay, which the front desk told me to do. They tell me that they can’t issue me a refund, that only the hotel can and because I didn’t make a complaint on my “second” reservation, they would not refund me for it at all. It feels very much like they just wanted to get me out of their hair. For the price I paid, I would not expect to be picking up trash and killing bugs. I couldn’t even stop to take pictures of all of the bugs because I had to kill them as soon as I saw them before they got away into the curtains/bedding/ect. Very disappointing especially for what they charge.

I had not been there for years and it did not improve over time. Restaurant is less than basic, even getting a beer can become a challenge. Breakfast opens at 7:00 only. Rooms are basic... but clean. Room temperature is low. There is nothing around the hotel but highways, which is good to get access and bad when you want to go out in the evening.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Stains on the carpets and walls. The room smells terrible. The curtain in the bathroom smells like it’s never be changed. All the mirrors are filthy. The floor looks like it’s never been vacuumed. I have nothing nice to say about this hotel. It needs to be renovated asap. Do not waste your time here.

Rooms are alright. They’re what you would expect for an old hotel. However, a lot of things just show the poor management. Common areas/hallways are filthy. Wallpaper falling off walls, dirty elevators, filthy gym and pool area. At one point, the gym looked as though it had been outside in the weather as it was completely soaking wet (everywhere) to include the treadmills. Asked for paper towels to be restocked in the gym for 6 days and well … never happened. Nearly a third of the TV channels did not work/at all if there was any weather present. Towels smelt of smoke and mildew. On the flip side the two ladies who were working the day shifts at the desk were great. Housekeeping also had very friendly crews. I think a big facelift is needed and it seems most the concerns are not managements priority as it appears they’re just trying to pinch a penny.

They gave me a room with no shower curtain, no amenities, the chair was broken and so was the toilet seatI overheard three other customers who were complaining downstairs to the front desk about the electrical outlets of the wall to other items in the room being broken, no oversight of mtc at this hotel at all.Bill the Mgr of the hotel called me after my issues and offered to take one night off and my breakfast, when I got the bill, the breakfast was not taken off, so they said one thing and did another. The front desk customer service who wore the same clothes for the three days I was there, and short black hair was a very rude front desk person I have experienced. When I called with my issue she would pick up the call and then hang up, I called 9 times and she would either let it ring or hang up on me after knowing who I was.Let's talk breakfast, the second day breakfast was served at close to 8 am. All three days, the toast machine was off and when I told her, her answer was to turn it on yourself.... wow, turn it on myself.I Could have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express by the airport and not travelled all the way to downtown Hartford. The last night was there, I wanted to eat and they had no dinner only bar services.Worst hotel, and worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do yourself a favour, stay somewhere else and don't have the experiences I did.

Hotel wasn’t the worst at all. But there were some cons. The room wasn’t cleaned fully, some spots were unkept, (vacuuming wise), main light in room didn’t work, & lots of activity on our floor. Many kids running back & forth in the hallways it and smelled like weed throughout my stay. Causing the fire alarm to go off at 1:00 in the morning. No staff available or in charge during this moment to explain what was happening even though I knew it had to be from the kids on our floor. Bed was comfortable, & location is right off the highway to get to all the main attractions. Despite all of that, this wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve been to but it needs to be ran properly by the right management. Take guest complaints (like mine & others) seriously so the fire alarm doesn’t go off while people are there to get some rest.

The location and staff are good, they are doing their job. The issue lays with the physcial hotel itself. I've stayed at a lot of Holiday Inns and some were excellent and avergae, this one has been the worst. The place is in need of an update. The carpets smell old and gross, even in our room, there were like stains that have like glued to the carpets. The hallways also smelled like weed at times and we could hear everything our neighbors were saying and doing since there wasn't good enough insulation most likely via the connecting door. There were also neighbors just leaving trash and towels in the hallway and in front of our door. The room itself - again old carpet that smelled. Turning on the heat, it smelled like the inside of a vaccum cleaner and it was just some dust that needed to get blown/burned away. The linens had like blue ben markings on them. The bathroom tiles had like some kind of permanent staining in them, again the place just needs an update, just at least start with a new carpet. The room sort of smelled like it has been smoked in before and probably after many ozone treatments it became tolerable. We also had a fire alarm go off at 1am and the entire building needed to be evacuated, again it's not the staffs fault but it could've been somone smoking or someone might of pulled it.Rooms: Old carpet that smells and datedNearby activities: Close to downtown, good location but not walkable

It is very dated and definitely needs some help. We decided to stop swimming in the pool due to the deteriorating roof of the pool room falling into the water and floor of the pool being busted up. The gym was sub-par and didn't lock. We also found a random sock in our room, which might suggest a need for deeper cleaning services. The beds were 100% hard as a rock tho ?The service here was amazing tho! All 3 of the women that I dealt with at the desk were amazing! Very helpful and knowledgeable! The location in proximity to the Xfinity Theater is great!Overall a good place to crash for a couple hours after a show before the drive back home! (As long as you like a stiff sleep)

We had 9 rooms reserved for our team to stay over night after our 4 hour drive. We expected our key cards to be ready to go when we got here but we had to wait 20 minutes for the person at the check in to assign all the keys.My first room, the door wouldn’t open and we had to go back down to get a new room. When we told him that we couldn’t get in he tried to give us new keys, and we had to explain that the door just wouldn’t open. Upon telling him this he said “oh now that you mention it” that room is messed up and their mechanic wouldn’t fix it.My coach was assigned a room and she opened the door and there was someone’s things all over the room, she was assigned a room that already had people in it - thank god no one was in it at the time because that would have been very embarrassing walking in.My second room the key wouldn’t work and we had to go back down for the third time to get new keys that actually worked. It was very exhausting to be running all over the place to be able to get into our room after having a long trip here. I expected them to be more prepared and have more knowledge about the people in their rooms and the rooms that are out of service. Over all just very disappointed with the customer service

My company often uses this hotel for training. They no longer even try at this hotel. It's just getting worse and worse every year. We need to use the pool for training and its freezing cold and really dirty. The rooms are sketchy. There was a large stain on the tile in front of the toilet this time. I called to change rooms and they said they were full. The halls smell like weed all the time. The breakfast is $15 and it's basically powdered eggs and microwaved bacon. I would never bring my family to stay at this place. They need a regime change or something. None of the staff give an ish at all.

My company uses this hotel for trainings every year. The place has just gone downhill over the past 5 years. We use the pool for training and its freezing cold and dirty. The breakfast is $15 and not included with the room. The breakfast is powdered eggs and microwave bacon. Basically, what you'd get for free in a continental breakfast at almost any other hotel. This year the room I stayed in had a huge stain from "something" on the tiles in front of the toilet. The room just felt like it wasn't clean. Luckily, I keep a sleeping bag in my truck. The hallways smell like weed all the time and you have to sign a paper saying that the hotel is smoke free. right. The staff seem to be hiding and are never around. They just dont try at all at this place. It's a shame because it is a great location.

This is the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. Rooms were dirty, tissue box in the bathroom was empty, they did not supply fresh towel even after we asked for it. And the icing on the cake is they don’t supply a single bottle of water in the rooms. We were told to use the vending machine to get the water. Staff at the front desk is not bothered when anyone complains. IHG should pull the name of Holiday Inn from this hotel. This is more like a motel. Avoid staying at this hotel, it’s not worth the money they charge.
