The customer service in this store is outstanding! I don’t know the name of the gal I’ve encountered, but she is extremely helpful! I stopped on my way home from work one day and arrived 10 minutes after they closed. She hadn’t left yet, asked what I wanted, found it for me. I’ve never had that exceptional service anywhere else. Anything I need, I’ll look there first!

People there are amazingly knowledgable and helpful. I went to buy new plug and wiring for an old lamp and the guy did all the wiring for me- at no charge! And pet department has everything you can imagine. Great place to bring the kids

If I could leave 0 stars... I am a home improvement contractor and I called in a special order for insulation. I asked the sales rep if he needed pre payment and he assured me that the insulation would be delivered the following week and no payment was needed. Truck was supposed to arrive by 9 am the following week At 12 noon I called because I didn't receive a call that truck was in. Employee stated "Truck should have arrived and I don't know where it is or when it's coming." He told me he would call me back at 4 to verify that truck was or was not coming. At 4 pm he then explained to me that the vendor Shagbark purchases from was owed money and refused to deliver my order! Long story short I had a 10k insulation job that the completion was hinging upon this last delivery of insulation. Not only was job delayed my customer had to deal with a delay in insulating the crawl space of their home! So Shagbark owing money to a vendor hurt my customer, the job, my crews paycheck, and also my business job schedule.I have been in business for many years and I have NEVER heard of a Lumber Company owing a vendor so much money they refuse to deliver! Support small business but not this one!

Do not shop here.I have been buying my wood pellets for years from here and have had nothing but a great experience. However this year after putting my name on a list for pellets, I received a phone call stating my pellets were in and to call back as soon as possible. I called back 3 hours later just to be informed that the pellets I had been on the list for were no longer available and had been sold to another customer because I didn't answer the phone or call back immediately. I was then told I would be put in another list but the price was going to be double. I'm sorry I haven't been glued to my phone for the last few weeks waiting for your call. But you need to give time for people to call back. Or at least let us pre pay and lock in our order. You have lost my business!! Absolute joke of a business.

First time shopper. I was very impressed with their level of organization. I called before stopping in. They had exactly the random lumber I was looking for to repair some windows on a 1950s house. Every. Last. Piece.I ended up buying more than l intended, but their prices were about 60% of what a box store would charge - with no headache or "Creative Craftsmanship" involved.Very happy I decided to make a stop while I was in the area. I'll save more time in the future driving an extra 20 minutes each direction. Seriously well worth the trip, I will continue to support this business whenever possible.

Thank you Shargbark for allowing myself not venture outside our little bubble paradise of a town as I dare to tread where others go…. Big Box.. Shagbark has it all. If they don’t, Heather, and trusted wonderful staff is always happy to order. I really appreciate over 30 years of their service.
