My husband and I enjoyed spending the first half of our honeymoon here. It was so quiet and cozy here with wonderful food options and many neat sights to see close-by. We sat on the back porch enjoying a bottle of champagne one night and appreciated all the quiet and stars. The bed was so comfortable and all the rooms were beautiful and elegant. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights for our anniversary and it was everything we were hoping for. It is a beautiful old house and we had the Garden suite which was a beautiful two room suite with our own entrance, large bathroom and a really nice sitting area.Mia was very helpful with anything we needed. The dining options were one we could walk to and others just 5 minutes away. There were museums and wineries in the area to visit during the day. The Gillette Castle was very close and well worth a visit. A great place to stay if you are going to the local Opera House for a play.

We found the Boardman House to be as lovely as described! It's also very clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The rooms each had their own quaint style and there are two sitting rooms available, plus outdoor porches. Mia, the owner, was kind and pleasant, and made a point to welcome us. We will come again when we're back in town. Thank you, Mia!

We had a one night Sunday night stay in a room at the back. The room was very nice, quiet, and everything was laid out for us. We plan on returning. Thank you.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Close to the national parks, little shops, cute restaurants, etc. It was quiet, quaint, comfy, and has so much character! Will definitely be back!

We were here last night and very happy with this Inn. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated and made us feel at home. We stayed in the Boardman Room. This is in walking distance to Gelston Hotel/Restaurant which was very very good for dinner and competitively priced. Breakfast was at Higher Grounds Coffee shop and also in walking distance. We highly recommend this business. Just a tip regarding the parking lot - it is on the side street (Creamary Rd) and the second driveway. The only thing that could improve the customer experience would be to have the parking instructions on the email confirmation. We drive a huge 2023 Titan and the driveway in of the front of the building would not accommodate a sharp turn in to unload the luggage. We had to drive past and turn around then turn down the side street and parked in the lot in the 1st driveway behind the Inn. It wasn't until we received the check in instructions at the front door that we read where to park so we had to move the truck to the second drive way parking lot behind the building, but not a deal breaker. This is still a great place and now we know for next time. Highly recommend!

I booked a room six days out for a work trip and had to cancel less than two business days later for reasons beyond my control. The response from Mia Hymander was as follows, "Unfortunately, it's too late for a refund since it's less than 14 days before arrival as per our cancellation policy."Their response is utterly unreasonable given that I booked only six days in advance and inappropriate given they had suffered no damages from my almost immediate cancellation. An excellent example of penny wise and pound foolish behavior that should make you think twice before booking. Why risk it when this area has so many fabulous choices.

I had a very disappointing 2 night stay at The Boardman House. I was in town for a couple of social gatherings. This lodging is advertised as "elegant". Trip Advisor rates this place 4.5. This rating is unwarranted. The building is beautiful. The living room and my bedroom had lovely furnishings. But its a "cold" place. As mentioned in an earlier note, it is a bed and no breakfast. Furthermore there is no hospitality. I saw one guest my first night in the living room. The 2nd day, I saw no one during the day, and no one at night. I heard nothing from the Host. This as a chilling experience for me, something I have never encountered. I have stayed in many Inns and B&B, and I've stayed in a few during the pandemic. I have had no contact entry experience during the pandemic. I expect, and have received REAL coffee, not instant coffee. (The 2nd day it was "donut coffee"). I also expect breakfast, or something very simple like a muffin or croissant. This could easily have been served on the porch or in thegarden. And I expect some kind of contact with the host.I also expect a room with a closet. My room had 4 hangers hanging on the wall, but no closet. Furthermore, there was no iron, ironing board, or hairdryer. The lack of basic "amenities" really upset me as I was preparing to go to a party.I guess I'm really mad at myself. I have relied upon the Trip Advisor rating for booking INNs and B&B's. I read the description of the Inn and it mentioned it was Elegant and Trip Advisor rated it 4.5. So I booked the Inn. I should have read Reviews.Trip Advisor, please update your review system for this B&B. It's not a B&B, not even an INN. It's a Boarding House. I think if I knew this was an elegant Boarding House, and my room did not contain the basics, and I would not see the hosts, and I might be completely alone in a very large building, I could have made a better decision about where to stay, and I would not have been so upset

my husband and i were looking for a place to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, and didn't want to go too far and spend the time traveling. we stumbled upon the Boardman House, and thank goodness we did ! the home is impeccably clean, and so beautiful. it's an older renovated mansion, but it feels so bright and modern !!! we stayed in the Garden Suite.... it was quiet, clean as a whistle, and very romantic. our own entrance, our own sitting area with a nice large flat screen TV !, and a gorgeous, quiet back porch all our own. perfect ! the Inn owner, Mia, is a joy !!!!! sweet, interesting, hard working, and just lovely. her breakfasts were delicious.... french toast 1 day, blueberry pancakes the next... both served with real maple syrup ! excellent. we enjoyed it so much, we will return to celebrate the 6th year, too :) thank you, Mia, for just an incredible, relaxing 3 days, and all your recommendations ! XOXO see you next year !!!!!!!!!!! ??

Staying at the Boardman House Inn is always a joy for me. It's always so nice, clean, and comfortable at the Boardman House. It feels like your stepping into a highbred home thats completely unique. The furniture, paintings, and decorations are classy. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Its always a joy to chat with them and learn interesting facts about the house and surrounding area. They're lovely. My favorite part is the restful sleep I enjoy during my visit to the Boardman House. Comfortable beds and a peaceful environment makes this a relaxing stay everytime. Also of note is how close the Opera house, airport, river park and La Vita restaurant, which is where they have live music in the evenings. All of these are walking distance. I recommend a stay here and I hope you enjoy yourself as I do.
