ShopRite is a awesome clean friendly place fresh meats from the butcher fresh seafood from the seafood department fresh deli meats from the deli department. They rotate there merchandise. Now once stop and shop close in November in Ansonia Connecticut. ShopRite and BJ's wholesale club will be very busy since Ansonia Connecticut don't have a grocery store at all . Wish price chopper would take over where Big Y was that would help out ANSONIA Connecticut tremendously!! With can / bottle returns selling news ?️ papers as well.

For over a month, I had been tirelessly searching for my son's medication, encountering various challenges along the way. I’m giving 0 star for this store’s butcher department and customer service. They have London broil on sale this week, but I guess they sold it too much at the low price, They intentionally put all London broil away and told me it’s not on sale anymore. When I go to the customer service for a raincheck as I couldn’t find any of the London broil, the manager confirmed the sale price at the flyer, then turn to his computer right away to print a raincheck, at this point, the butcher department person came and told the manager that this is not on sale, even the flyer says it is.the young manager has already printed out the raincheck with the sale price for me, but had to listen to the butcher department person and took away the raincheck.

I would give negative stars if possible. While the sales are great, that’s all they’ve got. As an instacart shopper, this was my main store. Then I realized that at the end of the work day, I was ready to explode from the stress.I like self checkout because I can bag my own groceries- the baggers at the ‘manned’ registers don’t know anything about bagging groceries, I always have to re-bag everything and my tip partly relies on that aspect. Unfortunately, the self checkout registers prevent you from a smooth exit every single time. Ringing up a pkg of chicken requires authorization for weight; but how can you get authorization from staff that blatantly ignores you?? Thankfully there are only a select few with their nose in their phone: the others, not busy texting, literally physically turn their back to me. Let me not forget to mention the reprimands I’ve dealt with if I have 26 items! One staff member reprimanded me while pointing to the ‘25 items or less’ sign! After every other item rung up, the register ‘goes down’ while waiting for a ‘store log in’. Staff tells me to just wait a minute, it’ll pass!! Unfortunately, again, I’m in a hurry to get out and deliver my order as my tip relies on timeliness.In an effort to protect my sanity, I’ve boycotted ShopRite of Derby. I’ve noticed that many other IC shoppers have done the same: I see instacart orders for ShopRite sit there, waiting to be picked up and it’s no surprise. It’s a real shame that we can’t shop there because of the self checkout registers.?I’ll stick with Big Y’s calm store and their attentive, respectful staff.
