They helped but Lowe’s in general is just subpar compared to Home Depot. No comparison. Just go to HD.

Online shoppers beware! Lowe's does not indicate prior to your order being placed that it is a special order subject to 20% restocking fee. You only find out when you bring your item to the store to return it. Then they tell you that you should have known this when you ordered it because the item you chose to have shipped was not available for same day pick up in store. Seriously? What a scam. A great way for Lowe's to profit on returns!

Nice and clean, but you never know what the price is for lumber and Sheetrock. You always have to ask

I got charged 20% restocking fee for flooring that I returned. When you buy the product online Lowe's should let you know BEFORE you buy. The only reason I bought it was because there were no samples, so I had to buy the whole case to be able to see it. I'm a Homedepot Pro, rest assured that Homedepot have never done something like this to me. Bye bye Lowe's

I went into my Lowe’s today and a gentleman named Paulie helped me out the minute I walked into the place. I was there to get my propane tanks filled as my husband and I do a lot. He had to ask a women named Jennifer to come out side to unlock the cabinet. They both were so helpful and understanding that one of the tanks I was returning was still full and did not work. So, they thought it was only fare that I should get back my cost for one of them. They are both in the right line of work dealing on a daily bases with the public. That can be such a tuff job in its self. They really should be rewarded for their actions of being helpful, courteous and understanding peoples needs .On another note:The customer service desk the people working there are very argumentative and sometimes mean not just with customers but other employees. I get it public can sometimes be awful but, not everyone.I love my Lowe’s over the other store. lol

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE! You can't return them if they fail. The website says 90 days returns, but you have to double click to see that APPLIANCES DONT APPLY. In fact, you have 48 hours to return and you need to have the item in it's original packing material, which they haul away when they deliver it. Even if you have the material, there is a 15% restock fee which is $400 on a $2500 refrigerator. Buy from a real appliance store. Even if you pay a little more, you're completely covered. I walked into the Derby store to ask, I was outside the 2 days they did not want to know me. Rude. You give them your business this is what you get. Deceptive sales practices.

If I could give no stars I would. I was having an issue with a return and asked for the store manager the other day. Bettiann showed up and did not identify herself so I assumed she was the store manager. I later found out she was the assistent mgr. The store mgr was not there. She handled the issue ok by offering me a store credit which I was willing to accept. She asked for my drivers license which I promptly handed over. I then asked why she needed it. She gave no meaningful answer. I mentioned that I don't like to give out my personal info (Lic.#) . She handed my license back to me and refused to do the store credit even though I was willing, licence and all. She had decided to turn a typical customer experience into a bad customer experience for no reason. I had driven 20 minutes to this store just for the return of this $25 item. Makes me wonder what made her change her mind. Personal??? Lowe's lost me as a costomer for ever. I tried to call the store to speak to the store manager, a couple of days later and after being stuck on hold for 10 minutes I hung up.Update: I spoke with Lowe's corporate and filed a complaint. I was told that my complaint, and contact info, would be sent to the store manager that same day. I was told that the store manager was NOT obligated to reach out to me. This is how much Lowe's cares about their customers' bad store experiences. It's been several days and I have not heard from the store manager and don't think I will. As I mentioned above, Lowe's has lost my business for life.
