Online shoppers beware! Lowe's does not indicate prior to your order being placed that it is a special order subject to 20% restocking fee. You only find out when you bring your item to the store to return it. Then they tell you that you should have known this when you ordered it because the item you chose to have shipped was not available for same day pick up in store. Seriously? What a scam. A great way for Lowe's to profit on returns!

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE! You can't return them if they fail. The website says 90 days returns, but you have to double click to see that APPLIANCES DONT APPLY. In fact, you have 48 hours to return and you need to have the item in it's original packing material, which they haul away when they deliver it. Even if you have the material, there is a 15% restock fee which is $400 on a $2500 refrigerator. Buy from a real appliance store. Even if you pay a little more, you're completely covered. I walked into the Derby store to ask, I was outside the 2 days they did not want to know me. Rude. You give them your business this is what you get. Deceptive sales practices.

The gardening department is fully stocked and beautifully merchandised. There is a great variety of plants, bushes and everything you can imagine for your home and garden. There was only one knowledgeable person working in this very large department with a lot of customers, waiting for assistance and to check out. All of my plant purchases are doing well and look very healthy. However, prices have definitely increased considerably over the last year.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced bought fencing for my property.They send panels that are all rotted and damaged along with concrete not wrapped properly during a rain storm so they got all hardened. I call they send another order of panels again damaged they left both orders so I can go through both and take the best looking ones to use. Going on a month and they still have the order sitting in my front yard waiting to be picked back up .

Lowe's installed a Larson storm door for me this past Winter. They did a terrible job. I had to sand the build out they did. I had to install strips of PVC and caulk all the open spaces between the door jam and storm door frame plus other fine finishing work. I should have done it myself. I could have done a better job. It took me about a week of work.

Bunch of A-Holes! My elderly parents bought something on clearance, ended up missing parts and they wouldn't return it because it was special order. My parents didnt special order it, someone else did and returned it or didnt pick it up and it ended up in their clearance section. I checked the return policy and clearance items can be returned but the a-holes at the store said it was up to manager's discretion. I asked for something in writing and they just kept saying it's up to the manager. It was only $50! They definitely lost at least 3 customers who spend thousands a year on everything from garden stuff to appliances all over a $50 item. I can tell the front desk a-holes don't want to even be there, let alone help anyone.

Overall I think its garden center is sometimes better, but the most recent visit will keep me away. The cash registers are all non-people. Which is often a big problem. The machines are not friendly, often break down, and when asked why there are no humans checking out customers....she flippantly said something like "that's what everyone is doing. Its the future." Crappy and lazy. People like to be helped by people. Machines do not give a flying fajita. I pointed out that Home Depot in Orange has 1-2 staffed registers and she disagreed. Secretly she probably shops there.

I had one simple question and I waited 40 minutes for help and the staff couldn't answer a simple question with was is this a full system of just a shower head. Not just that they had nothing we needed and had the smallest amount of options. Never going back again it SUCKS!!!!

This store and most of the Lowes stores have ZERO dependability with regards to delivery. They don't do the delivering. It's hired out to a bunch of idiots. My 90 yr old father wanted to do something kind for me- his daughter- he purchased a washing machine for me and we scheduled delivery - set for yesterday. 8/6/22 a week after purchase. I never received a call with a window for delivery.called the store and was told when they would be coming- between 9-1:30. At 10:30- I received a call from the driver telling me his truck broke down. I'm so thankful I read delivery reviews and was already alerted to this game. I already knew I would be jerked around for the next month or so waiting for delivery. The driver was rude- I was hung up on. I cancelled my order. One hr later I returned to the store so my dad could be refunded his money. The washing machine was in the back. So either the truck was fixed asap and the driver sped to return it to the store or it never left the store. A bunch of incompetents. They have no problem taking your money- don't expect anything for it. A waste of time! I bought the same machine from PC Richards for less and was given the best customer service. Do not deal with these monkeys!

The store was so dirty. From display tools to shelf items to the floor. And, one person was floating around talking to fellow employees, but literally turned his back on us when we asked a question. People are just not into their job there. Some were, I would say if the 10 people I spoke with, two took the time to check on an item.

My one star is for the one guy in customer service, whom I won't name, who tried to help me yesterday. Thank you, G - you tried. With Covid, I am very hesitant to write negative reviews of folks that have been on the frontlines the whole time, but this was exceptionally bad service and miscommunication. I tried to purchase a floor sample table (at a discounted rate) yesterday. The manager was unavailable to approve the discount, so G said he would call me once the discount was approved and that I could go pick it up when i was ready - he tagged the table with my name and number. G followed up with me as he said he would to let me know that the table was mine. I tried calling back to let G know that I wanted the table and was hung up on, not once, but three times, by three different departments! I called again this morning to confirm that my husband would be going to pick up the table and was told "no problem." After an hour of waiting for the "missing" table - my husband was told it was no longer there and that they couldn't "hold" merchandise that wasn't "sold." Well, they won't be "holding" onto this customer any more either. Complete waste of time and miscommunication. Thank you G - you tried.

Where do I start I went yesterday to buy paint and other stuff it was around 4 or 5 pm..not many people in the store but a employees together at the customer service desk. As am standing at the paint stand no employee in sight to help me.we asked the customer service desk person...and she page someone..10 minutes went by and absolutely no one showed up when I asked again the girl at the counter gave us a disgusting look and attitude ..it was like we are bothering her ..ironic she is at the costumer stand and then she way her arms and shook her head. And then she yell back that she will page some one Time went by NO EMPLOYEE came to help. As I walked away from the store I got her name and how can you forget Liz with the blue hair..a very disrespectful employee that feels entitle to give extremely poor service...I went yesterday to buy other items and talked to a so called store manager ..Lucky him I can't remember his name he assured me that the store manager will call me and as of today no call from the manager at all..I had to get another item so I went to the store and asked for the store manager ..and a woman came in whi is not the store manager ..when asked if she was a manager she said no then I said I want the store manager a guy name Andrew came and when I explain the situation to him his response was call. 1800 Lowes to complaint...really an he is the store manager...pretty sad not even am sorry about your experience nothing ...THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER...is sad to see that Lowes just hired bodies and not people that likes to work. As of right now I have been on hold for 52 minutes with costumer service n no one answers the phone Lowes is time to evaluate the service your employees provide..totally disrespectful starting from. Your store manager Andrew n the rest of the staff. I bet they don't give a darn about any costumer I wish I could give them a minus 10 WORST STORE EVER.

The parking lot is completely out of control. 2 months ago my brand new car was hit by a shopping cart causing $800 in damage. Lowe's did nothing to help me out. I had to pay out of pocket to have my vehicle repaired. Last week I foolishly went back to Lowe's to purchase paint for my garage and upon coming back out of the store to my car there was a larger amount of damaged done by another shopping cart! Once again they told me "it's park are your own risk" How about you have someone maintaining the carts left out by your customers and have cart returns in the middle and back of your parking lot? For me just being your customer is costing me $2300 in property damage in the last 2 months and you won't help me out with ANYTHING. You have the cart hitting my car a second time on camera along with the police report. For a company that had a net income of 4.281 billion in 2020 you won't help out with your customers damaged property or get staff in your parking lot? I was a loyal customer for the last 5 years and I will no longer shop with Lowe's for my homes needs.

I went in for air filters and water filters and found the water filters in stock. I made my way to self check-out thinking it would be easier and quick and I wouldn't have to bother anyone but Barb went out of her way to offer to check me out and it was such a wonderful experience. With it being the week of Christmas and the crowds at the stores especially now during the pandemic I was dreading this trip to pick up an item my father and I forgot to get here yesterday. Barb really made my day with her exception customer service. She was understanding and patient with me as I use a store credit... even when I didn't get all of the information correct at first. Lowe's is very lucky to have Barb, who seems to be such a valuable member of their team here at this Derby location. The store was calm, quiet and clean prior to 10am the Tuesday before Christmas. Thank you so much Barb you brightened my day and my family appreciates your help as well!
