He's so thoughtful and caring takes the time to walk through his assessment of a health issue and possible care options. And the staff, Cecile and the whole team, is always so welcoming and helpful. “Dr. Santisi is knowledgeable, caring, spends time listening and answering all questions and is never rushed. He also performs dentals which is a plus. Appointments are not difficult to schedule, and there is very little wait time on the appointment day.
The staff is very positive and skilled, and they respond to calls or texts quickly.

“I just transferred my dog’s care to this vet and it was our first time seeing Dr. Schilke. She was absolutely fantastic! So loving and gentle with my dog and extremely thorough and patient during the exam. She took her time explaining everything to me and called the following day to review bloodwork and follow up. “The entire staff is incredible- compassionate, highly responsive, accommodating, friendly, etc. We’ve rotated vets within this clinic, based on availability, and each one is thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and tries to make my anxious dog as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Maxwell has been exclusively treating my dog the past 5 months for a variety of issues- from inexplicable, chronic vomiting & gas to a nail injury (entire nail tore off). The nail injury required many visits to properly treat it and it has healed beautifully. The vomiting persisted, so he was treated for dehydration, administered blood work, Xray & an ultrasound. The ultrasound uncovered a small, foreign object in his stomach, but no other serious concerns from the X-ray or ultrasound. So glad we did that work. Dr. Maxwell has excellent bedside manner, doesn’t rush the appointments, provides a good course of treatment and is so sweet to our dog.
We moved from out of state, too far from the clinic my dog has been going to for the past 4 yrs, and needed a new vet. We first came to South Wilton Vet for routine care in order to get a sense of the quality of care and realized immediately this was our new clinic.
I could not disagree more with the other reviews on here with respect to this clinic being “money hungry.” I’ve never once experienced the staff pushing unwarranted procedures, tests, vaccines or products on us. Are they expensive? Yes, but so was our former clinic in Nashville and they provided exceptional service as well. People either ignore the fact that clinics have overheads or struggling financially and can’t afford to treat their animals. Im sure the latter is incredibly frustrating, but personally, we would pay any kind of $ for our dog. I’m also not a vet, so I’ll never know if we’re being taken advantage of, but our dog is happy and healthy.. that’s what matters to us.
Tl;dr - we are extremely happy here and the prices are worth the spend!”

“We had a wonderful experience at Norwalk Animal Hospital with Dr. Wolf and the entire vet tech and office staff during the two years we were in CT. Dr. Wolf is very compassionate and patient answering all of our questions for both our senior dog and young cat. We felt like she truly listened to our concerns, no matter how big or small, and gave us great guidance. When our dog was going through a recurring issue, she kept in close contact with us to try multiple solutions and being very responsive.”

“Dr. Pete Michalek was amazing with Gizmo (netherland dwarf rabbit). Took time and patience to examine him so he wouldn’t be stressed and answer all my questions. The lady at the front desk is super friendly as soon as you walk in. The offices are clean and very well aired (considering the hot temperatures outside). 2nd time going for a wellness check since 2020 and definitely continuing with them!”

“Excellent, caring staff. I switched here after going to Norwalk Veterinary Hospital for years as Broad River is closer to my home and came highly recommended. I lucked out that my favorite Vet from NVH, Dr. Lisa Major, is now at Broad River. Dr. Major's bedside manner is warm and kind and she's a skilled, knowledgable doctor. There's a cat who "works" in the office, and it's clear all of the staff love animals.”

“I went there with my 12yrs old Yorkie due to pancratitis, which my primary care recommended. They were very nice, I had no appointment and they took me right away and in a little while I was speaking to the Vet which she gave me her recommendation and we took. I picked up my little girl the next day she came running out and looked absolutely great. They took such good care of her she was back to herself. I even got money back from my deposit. “Incredible practice with alternative modalities. Dr. Seo is one of the most amazing veterinary doctor's I have ever encountered. The love he has for animals is apparent in his care. My Margo who was 12.5 was diagnosed with lymphoma.. She went through the traditional route of chemo at another practice that left her in the hospital for 5 days. I moved Margo to Smith Ridge and Dr. Seo from a recommendation I received. Through his care Margo we were able to have more time with her and truly enjoy each and every day as a gift. Sadly, it was time to say goodbye and let her rest. It was a day that Dr. Seo is off from working on that day, but he came in to care for Margo and help her transition over the rainbow bridge with me. This is a testament to the love he has for his animal patients. Thank you to Dr. Seo, you are one-of -a kind human. Thank you also to the rest of the team for your empathy and support during one of the most difficult days in my life. I know one day another dog will come into our lives and Smith Ridge will be our new Vet home forever.”
