Our shopping experience this evening was truly exceptional. Bob went above and beyond to help my husband find the perfect winter jacket for his cold commute and outdoor adventures with our infant daughter. What made the visit extraordinary was Bob’s incredible kindness towards our daughter, who had fallen in love with a plush owl toy. When she became distraught about leaving the toy behind, Bob generously gifted it to her, touching our hearts and turning a potential meltdown into a moment of pure joy.
The Barbour jacket we selected will keep my husband warm through the winter, but the real warmth came from Bob’s unexpected act of compassion. We are deeply grateful and inspired to pay this kindness forward. We will absolutely be back to this store location again for all of our outdoor needs. Thank you, Bob and team!

Or is the classic store for those that love the outdoors. If you like woodland strolls, trekking deep into the forest, fly fishing waist deep in streams or just taking the dog for a walk around the neighbourhood, Orvis can outfit your venture. This store is a great embodiment of that spirit and the staff is unbelievably helpful in helping you get what you need. They answer questions, give great advice, help in ordering without feeling pressured to purchase. I highly recommend them as they go above and beyond what is normal customer service these days. Well done Orvis!!

I am a lucky guy to walk into the Orvis store in Darien, CT and meet the Fishing Manager: Bob Strassel Jr. If you are considering Fly Fishing, then come the Darien Orvis store. Bob is a wealth of knowledge on the subject, but he can help you select the right equipment. The Darien Orvis offer a Fly Fishing 101 and 201 course. These courses were so helpful in the beginning. When I went to Wyoming, Bob again helped me make connection to find the right outfitters in the area for a great fly-fishing trip on the Snake River. Lately, Bob has helped me select new equipment for my trip to Belize to Tarpon and Bone Fishing. This is no fish tail.
