“Sokayri Atelier with Helena, Miriam and their team have helped us several times for formal events and we feel lucky to have found them. The first time was for my daughter’s wedding where they fitted and customized the gown to fit the bride perfectly. At first I didn’t think the gown was the right fit for my daughter, although it was beautiful. But this team finds no problem too difficult seems and they waved their magic wands and made the gown a perfect for. Glorious! For the Mother of the Bride gown it was of utmost importance to allow ventilation as the wedding was to take place in Barbados . Helena made sure extra vents were created and in addition they solved the issue of my upper arms looking far bigger than the big they already were. They shaped the wide straps into a clever design that was utterly flattering. I loved it.
The third time I came for help was for a very formal wedding where I got the utter dream of wearing a Carolina Herrera ball gown. The Sokayri team problem solved to perfection and I felt perfectly at home and at ease . We shortened the train a little and shortened the entire skirt part, which was no small feat because the pattern was at the bottom of the skirt, as I’m 5’5” and the gown built for tall models. I couldn’t believe how they just made the impossible not only possible but doable. I’m deeply grateful. Thank you team. I give them my highest recommendations.”

“Kim and the whole team at ALSW were wonderful to work with when it came to finding a dress and alterations!!! This was the first place I went to try dresses because they were the only store with a specific wedding designer in all of CT. I told Kim exactly what I was looking for in a dress and we pulled 4 dresses. No joke the second one I tried on was my dress and I never looked back!! Abby was so great to work with for alterations! I was unable to make in-house alterations as they are done on Wednesdays and being in the wedding industry myself, that is the busiest day with my brides for that weekend. I reached out to who they recommended and everyone was booked!!! I was in a panic but Abby was able to work with my busy schedule and fit in fittings at the store that worked for my schedule!! The entire staff, especially Leo who was assigned to me, were beyond attentive to my requests. The whole entire experience was nothing short of PERFECT; even so much so that my mother also found her DREAM mother of the bride gown at The Plumed Serpent during one of their trunk shows.

Both of our experiences were truly amazing and the staff at TPS were beyond flexible and accommodating.

My favorite part of the entire process by far was getting the opportunity to have each one of my dress fittings done at the exact same time as my mom’s dress fittings. One of the most memorable parts of this entire process and a memory that I will forever cherish and be forever grateful for. Not to mention that Lissa, one of their seamstresses, is THE BEST! Lissa essentially recreated the entire top portion of my dress to ensure I was 100% comfortable when walking and moving my arms in my gown and she made both dresses, mine and my mom’s, fit like an absolute glove. Lissa is a QUEEN in my book and a very knowledgeable and experienced seamstress. Not to mention, the absolute SWEETEST!
