Aquarius is the best place for fun clothes from casual to formal and all the accessories and jewelry and purses you need. I have clothes I bought there 10+ years ago and I still get compliments. Last week I was wearing a hooded lightweight purple raincoat and a woman nearly accosted me on the street--"I love it, where did you get it?, I want one." She was so enthusiastic I might have given it to her (I have another in sage green!) except it was raining! On the train this week, another woman went on and on about my purse. This spring's purchases of a flowered dress and fancy black skirt and tie dye linen top have all been big hits. They are comfortable, easy to maintain, and fun to wear. Pam is an extraordinary shop owner with the best eye for fashion, both in terms of her buying for the store but helping her clients find what is most attractive for them. Irrespective of the 2013 review, I have found Aquarius to be my go-to store for all occasions. The staff is always solicitous, helping me find just the right pieces. My last visit was for the funeral of a sibling and I was very upset. They gently made recommendations even matching shoes I had found elsewhere. I am very grateful for Aquarius and appreciate their taste and fashion sense. I hope they stay open forever.

I'm a pretty choosy shopper. Aquarius strikes the right mix between comfortable casual and elegantly unique designs. It has a wide range of sizes, and better prices than designer department stores. I live in NYC but still make a season trip out there to buy my clothes. They have always been helpful.

The women who work here are absolutely disgusting. Today they took advantage of my grandmother by pushing a $500 necklace on her AFTER I took the employee aside explaining that I had a strict budget of no more than $200. They called the less expensive pieces that I picked out for my grandmother " last season" and "out of fashion" . Making me out to look like the bad guy and laughing in my face. Now I understand that in the end it was my grandmothers decision. However, she is almost 90 years old and has had a difficult time understanding the recession and the major lack of money my family has. I explained this to the woman who worked there. I had tears in my eyes as they were ringing her up. The real cherry on top? No cash returns, not even an hour after purchase. This place makes me sick and I pray to God and all that is holy that they lose their business.
