This place is amazing!!! Everyone there is so sweet and polite. Very professional! We were looking for a good place for neutering for our cat Marvin. When we first met Dr.Chris Elson you can tell how much love he has for animals. We immediately scheduled an appointment knowing Marvin was in good hands. Marvin is now a happy healthy cat!! Thank you so much!!!! We will be back! Highly recommend!

Great Vet Doctor’s but unprofessional assistants and front desk older lady, be careful because they will charge you multiple times for the same service.I will never take my dog back there because I have many other options!!

Excellent veterinary services, the surgeon cared for our dog Zeus as if he was he's own. My family and I are very grateful for taking such good care of our dog and want to say thank you to all the staff at Mill Plain Vet for helping us and our beloved dog.

My dog had an ear infection and they were able to see me 30 minutes after I first called. They are a little pricey but only as much as the average vet and they also seem conscious of this, which is a lot more endearing than sticking me with a larger bill and acting like that's the deal without letting me know before.
Incredibly nice staff, great availability, decent waiting times, and an otherwise all-around normal vet. I'd trust this as my primary vet if I lived closer. They were clear, friendly, patient, and honest, made me and my dog feel welcome, and did it for a transparent and sensible price, and now my dog feels better. No complaints here

Mill plain was great for me and my dog. The receptionist was very helpful when it came to making appointments or picking up items for my dog. Very nice environment for pet owners.

I have been going there for 18 years and they are the best. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs I take there. Dr Chris is the best!!! I would not take my animals to anyone but him!! He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. I pray he never leaves. He is the best vet this clinic has ever had!!!!!

The one in New York is so much better and they really care about your pets unlike Newtown my dog could have die cause they are to lazy!!!!!!

Chris is fantastic. Very caring even with troublesome dogs. Did not try to rope me into expensive surgery. Gave an accurate diagnosis, gave me realistic expectations. I had a week with Buster after getting his hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. It was painless, and quick. Had I gotten surgery for him his last week probably would've been just a few days. Instead of painless, he would've been in recovery from removing a tumor.
Chris if you're reading this, thank you so so much.

Very sad to say my father brought his dog into the vets Feb 4, told him the dogs age and symptoms were common. He took the dog home after spending $450, dog only lasted 45 min after leaving the vets. The next morning he brought the dog in to have cremated, he was told within a week he'd be contacted. Nothing from them for over a month. No call whatsoever. He contacted the police, they made a call to vets and they finally contacted my father the next day. They told my father his dogs ashes we lost. Offered a portrait for free but when it arrived after about 3 weeks it was a plastic disc etched with the dogs face. Very upsetting and very unprofessional. No care how he felt after loosing his dog.

I can’t say enough good things about all of the staff at Mill Plain Vet. Dr. Jason was exceptional. He was thorough, informative and extremely knowledgeable. He truly went the extra mile to make sure all of my dogs, and my own needs were identified and treated. I also have to mention Daphne who was his lovely vet tech. She was fantastic at handling and loving on my dog while she was being examined and treated. Overall a wonderful experience!

I’m not usually one to do a review but I am simply disheartened at the way this place has gone down hill over the years. We have been going there for years (maybe 10?) and as of today, we will never step foot back in there.I am one to always give second chances and maybe even a third but I am beyond disappointed on various levels. Our negative experiences began in October 2022. We brought our senior cat there, not for a well check visit, but because her behavior was completely abnormal. The vet ordered bloodwork but completely missed a humongous tumor. When I arrived back home and felt it, I called and brought her back in same day. Confirmed not normal and referred me out for tumor. Long story short, her bloodwork clearly showed cancer (another vet later told us) but the vet at Mill Plain dismissed it as normal. Her behavior is abnormal, she is dropping weight, her bloodwork screams cancer and you wrote it off as normal? She died in February. She would have died anyway but we could have given her a chance perhaps or at least known what we were dealing with and make the kinder choice sooner.Enter Dr Chris. He restored our faith in Mill Plain and in vets.He has since left. We planned to follow him but needed our senior kitty to get bloodwork before we were able to transfer our records so we made an appointment at Mill Plain (because bloodwork should be simple, right?) and we were treated horribly and basically were asked why we were there and that we should make an appointment with the vet in January (when we were told over the phone it was not necessary because our cat was just there a few months ago and we were just being extra cautious with bloodwork). Wasted our time and stressed out our cat for no reason.Fortunately, Dr Chris at the new vet’s office was able to accommodate us same day and our pets will now be well taken care of.Some things to consider at Mill Plain as of recently:Calls are never answered with “how can I help you” but always “Mill Plain, please hold.”If you email them, expect to follow up twice before receiving a response. If you ask for a refill on pet meds and request a receipt emailed (as you’ve done for years), expect to have to call now to ask if it’s ready and never receive a receipt.Expect rude attitudes of people who clearly are not compassionate towards animals and dislike their jobs.To those of you who still work there, I’m sorry and I hope you can find a more pleasant place to work. It’s a shame how much the customer service level has decreased (and exponentially!) in such a short time.
