Where to begin about our incredible stay with the amazing Maron hotel. We arrived fromFt. Lauderdale, sadly for my aunt’s funeral, during a very heavy rainstorm. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeting by the very wonderful Mary Elizabeth and Samantha who knew in advance that we were arriving with my elderly mother. These fabulous ladies could not have been kinder and more attentive with such willingness to accommodate us immediately and ensure that all would be perfect and comfortable for our stay. They welcomed us and truly made us feel as though we were family. The entire staff was OUTSTANDING! Mary Elizabeth, Samantha and Yousuf are beyond professional, attentive, kind, and so caring in that they are sure that all of your specific needs are met and that everything was unbelievably perfect! Yousuf was extremely helpful in helping me print out some important papers needed for the services and the magnificent trio even set up a late night room for our entire and very large family to gather late in the evening after we arrived back from dinner. They also recommended some fabulous restaurants literally across the street~ Italian, Asian and the most darling cafe with delicious treats. There is also a Stop & Shop next door should you need anything at all. The rooms were very clean and extremely roomy and comfortable. It is NEVER easy to attend these sort of events and if there is one thing I would share is that this incredible caring group at the MARON hotel made everything that much easier for a very large family that came from all over the United States! Thank you all for your kindness~ you are truly exceptional!

Let me preface by saying the hotel was in a very convenient location in Danbury, right between exit 3 and 4. Also, it was the least expensive nightly rate in the entire area from Stamford on down. It was at least $60 less than any other hotel I could find, plus it had free parking. If it were not for the price I would have rated it at 3 stars. However, considering the low price I think I must rate it at four because it was certainly not something you need to steer away from. The negatives were as follows:. Difficult to locate if you don't know what you are looking for. It's wedged between a bank and a UPS store, so keep that in mind when you are thinking you are in the wrong place ?.. Because it is wedged in between two other businesses your room will be facing a courtyard and possibly not have an outdoor window. We don't mind having the indoor courtyard window, however there was loud music playing in the lobby and it was disturbing us up till about 10:00 p.m. I'd guess.. The breakfast was not really something you would look forward to. Simply very small plastic wrapped bagels with packaged cream cheese and jelly, along with not very hot coffee. There were also fresh oranges and apples, which were nice to have. That was it for the food. We ended up going to stop& shop next door, plus the coffee shop across the street, which was excellent.. I don't care for elevators so when taking the stairwell downstairs I found it to be fairly unkempt, needing cleaning and sweeping. Plus, when exiting the stairwell on the main level you have to go through an area that is clearly not meant for guests because it is filled with extra chairs and whatnot. The positives were as follows:. The price, free parking, convenient location.. The gentleman at check-in was very nice and pleasant.. The bed was very comfortable, although a king size bed should have more than three pillows in our world, but I'm sure we could have gotten more if we had asked.. The room was immaculate.. The DirecTV channels were good and adequate.. The bed was quite comfortable..

Great location with lots of convenient traveler friendly shopping and restaurants nearby, but seems to have missed the boat on upgrading to modern tech. It doesn't hurt the experience but don't be surprised when younger parties won't understand how to work the 80s thermostats, or have a place to plug in their phones other than wall outlets.

Stayed here for a week with the family and checked out early. The toilet clogged the first night and we were told to come get a plunger and clear it ourselves. They tested the fire alarm with no warning Sunday morning and told we should expect that in a commercial building. The shower drained so slowly that water would cover your feet during a quick shower, then take 10+ minutes to drain. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and when addressed with the hotel through email no response was ever received. When addressed again at checkout, no resolution was offered. The manager called me after reading this review calling me a liar.Walkability: Grocery store right next to the hotel. UPS, Chase bank, liquor store and bar in the bottom floor.Food & drinks: Grounds Donuts is amazing. Stanziatos pizza is also delicious

This is a well-kept and comfortable hotel. A special shout-out to Mary Elizabeth, the welcoming and super-efficient front desk manager. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable and nicely firm. The room in-celing AC was quite noisy, and didn't shut off even when set to Auto. There was a desk in the room but it's not really set up for work. The chair was low and one has to use pillows to site at an ergonomic working height, though my knees were obstructed by the desk drawer. The hotel fronts onto a busy road. The rooms at the rear or with atrium-facing windows should be quieter. The grab-and-go breakfast was good for its class; fresh fruit was offered in addition to plastic-wrapped Danish pastries. There's a Stop & Shop right next door which makes shopping for supplies (e.g., a full breakfast) easy. The room has a fridge and microwave. There are several restaurants nearby.

For the price, this is great. Heck, the separate bedroom and central-ish HVAC were great on their own. It's been a while since I've slept in a hotel which didn't have a noisy through-the-wall HVAC block. They even had a few bagels and pastries set out in the lobby in the morning, which was very nice.

Clean, quiet and friendly, accommodating front desk staff. Internet is spotty and cable TV very limited. The location is not near much except Rt 84I would recommend for 1 night in and out if the $30-40 difference for the chain hotels is important to you.

The room could use a few simple improvements such as lighting, towel holders in bathroom and a few other normal hotel room amenities. Also the TV was not working properly.

The room is very clean, comfortable and the service is very friendly, excellent presentation always. The hydromassage shower was very good. Very good breakfast and good location.Rooms: I really liked the cleanliness, not only in the room in general, the hotel was always very clean, and the reception staff were always very friendly.

For a last minute find, the hotel was very nice. Close to the main highway and located near tasty restraints. Front desk receptionist was very helpful and accommodating to our early arrival. We was able to check in early it's no problem. She was very friendly as well. Lobby and rooms were clean. The pictures found on their website and the internet match and fit the description as well. Continental breakfast is free with your stay but we learn their restaurant was not open so hot breakfast was not available (insert sad face) .I recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Danbury area. I will stay here again for my next trip

We used the hotel to get ready for our wedding. We had a massive wedding party and needed a lot of space to accommodate everyone, but didn't want to go to the Ethan Allen (a hotel nearby that I would highly discourage anyone from visiting). The rooms at the Maron were perfect, reasonably-priced, and in a great location. Our guests were able to walk to the restaurants across the street and even grab supplies at Stop n Shop next door. The inside of the hotel is surprisingly nice as well, which allowed for a lot of photo ops on our way in and out. The staff really helped us organize and work out how many rooms we needed.

I don't know where to begin so I will start with the positive. The staff I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. It was all downhill from there as probably 37/40 channels on the TV didn't work and there were dirty glasses in the mini fridge (during a pandemic...) and the hot water in the bathroom didn't work. Also the ice machine on the 3rd and second floor were not working so the staff on the first floor had to get me ice. I tried to call the front desk but the button on the hotel phone to call them didn't work so I finally got through by dialing 0. The staff again were pleasant and helpful as they "upgraded" us to a more functional room that had probably 7/40 working channels on the tv and did have working hot water as well as a slightly better microwave and clean glasses with a couch and second TV. The "continental breakfast" in the morning consisted of only stale bagels/danishes wrapped in saran wrap as well as unripe oranges. At least the king size beds were comfy and clean though!

Was an excellent place to stay! The staff were absolutely great and super helpful. I'd say it's an excellent place for a rest or place to stay while visiting family in the area. The Stop & Shop also makes this place super convenient to stay.
