“Another family establishment in Danbury that is a pleasure to visit. Of note is owner's "special rack" of microbrews of various types and flavors. Fair warning the Two Evil Moss brew is ridiculous.”

It's always a pleasant experience as he makes his clientele feel more like friends than just customers. He goes above and beyond, is always polite. Make Shirley's your go to for your spirit needs.”

“The best liquor store I've ever been in. Not necessarily for the selection, or the fancy wines, or that La Di Da. What it is , is an authentic liquor store. The man behind the counter or who owns it, I didn't get his name was helpful, down to earth and went above and beyond. I had recently had skin cancer surgery on my Head and had a bandage. He sympathized and said he had the same thing. That's the guy I'm talking about. Helpful, knowledgeable and, did the following: my wife wanted a small bottle , that is a split of champagne. He pulled out one for us and said "no you don't want that one that's Moët, too Expensive. ' He thereafter showed my wife a three pack of Prosecco. He said this is what you want. He volunteered that, in fact, he would split it up and sell us just one if that's what we wanted. It would've been so easy for him to say "no, I'm sorry you'll have to buy all three." he also directed me away from a beer I was thinking of buying saying "no, you don't want that stuff, it's drunks' juice." when I said we were taking it to a Lebanese restaurant and we are not sure that they could open it, he volunteered to give us a can opener. In addition a customer said he was a vegan and had been to the restaurant, and said yeah they'll open it for you. Too much. A great place to go to get some liquor, or a beer and meet a nice group of people.”

“Honestly I was here doing a pickup for a friend so because I had their items in hand I was uncomfortable milling about the store and exploring what they had to offer. That said I did pop into the Bourbon and Rum aisle (they are on opposite sides of the same aisle) and I was impressed with what I saw. I plan on heading back when I have more time to look things over better.”

“Warehouse Wines and Liquors is clean, neat, organized and most importantly well stocked with a lot of variety. I'm a whiskey drinker and numerous employees here are well versed in both their inventory of whiskeys and even what they don't have.

I recently have been seeking new whiskey labels each time I go based on recommendations from a whiskey magazine I have. I ask the staff about the ones I read about and they have been very helpful in pointing out what is actually good and what is hype.

Don't be too shy to ask the staff for recommendations and let them know the flavor profiles you enjoy. I particularly enjoy Irish whisky and Bourbon and all the recommendations have been fantastic.”
