My wife goes here for her asian specialty groceries. I think it has enough things for her because she is always happy. It seems a bit small but it is good. The parking is tight, a milion people go in and out constantly. I think next time i will park at dunkin donuts and walk a few more feet and it would be fine. Nice people work here, very busy.

The only asian market in the neighborhood … the selections are very limited and couldn’t find anything fresh when I was shopping there. Certain days of the week they have fresh products restocked- so don’t go in too early in those days because they won’t be restocking in the morning.

If you happen to be restricted to a wheelchair you will be restricted to looking into this store from the parking lot. The aisles are too tight for a wheelchair or stroller to get through :(

Buyer bewareI have been a customer of KK Asian market for many years now but seen the quality of the products and service decline with time. My past few experiences there have been particularly disappointing to the point that I will now drive to Hartford or order items online from now on (SayWeee.com has been exceptional) despite my preference to buy from local small businesses. First the buyer should beware, if you pay with a card you will pay a higher price which is an illegal practice in the state of Connecticut. Second, apparently all sales are final. It is not posted and I was not informed at the time of purchase. I recently purchased durian which when I returned home I found it to be very poor quality. I returned the next day and explained the situation, hoping to exchange it or receive some store credit but was explicitly told "too bad no returns". The return policy is not the entire issue, but the way in which I was treated as a long standing customer. She was right about "no returns" though, because I will not be returning to the KK Asian Market.

Very clean with lots of variety. I needed some ingredients to make beef pho. Gel helped me find exactly what I needed.

So I've been back a few times and need to give this place props. They will find whatever you need, and had a lot more selection from my first visit. It's predominantly Thai- BUT they can get in whatever you need. Importantly, I didn't notice some of the freezers first visit. Freezers are stocked with dumplings, fish cake etc. then another in the far back with frozen meats, bones for broth, fish. It still is super cramped, but you can get fresh veg needed for most Asian dish. Included some pics of food I made from products I got there!

It’s one of the best ones in the area. I always ask for the pepper steak combination.

Went there yesterday to look for Red bean paste but they didn’t have but ended up finding some ready made treats with Black Bean fillings which turned out to be super tasty, the girl in the front was friendly and helpful so I ended up buying a few more items, liked my experience there and I will return to do more shopping soon.

I decided to make kimchi and found everything I need here. The only thing I didn’t find was gluten free things which I found in Whole Foods. This store has many things you can’t find anywhere worse. The young man who I think is the owners son is super nice and helpful. I’m going back today to get more vegetables.I do wish these stores were larger and all. But I’mThankful I can drive here and get what I need. Hint if you use credit card they charge 3% more so bring other means to pay.

My mother and I decided to try KK Asian Market for the first time. We found some sprouts and mangos. To my surprised, when we were checking out, the young cashier wanted to charge me over $16.00 for four small mangos. The sign said they were $1.25 each, and he insisted they were $4.16 a pound. He said that a customer must have changed to price...come on really? Mangos don't cost over $4 each. I love to support small local businesses but after that experience, I will take my business elsewhere.

Great local business. After a decade in east Asia and plenty of travel to Southeast Asia, this place is ideal for everything I need from fresh vegetables that are almost impossible to find elsewhere to all kinds of products ranging from Japan to Vietnam. Best of all is that everything is very reasonably priced and anything you see in the major supermarkets; they have here, either imported or authentic versions. The owners are very friendly too.
