Recently got married, rented suits as a group. My suit had no issues but all the groomsmen experienced difficulties with theirs.
Michael, an older employee, gave all the groomsmen a hard time. Be it a dismissive attitude, ignoring concerns, and even lying about store policy for 1 month re-fitting & 1 week final adjustments. All leading to last minute changes and tons of undue stress that could've been avoided for us and them.
Worst of all was Michael's treatment towards my best man who, on more than one occasion, was rushed out of the store without being allowed the chance to try on his suit. And guess what, his shirt didn't fit, two days before the wedding...
This would be a 1-star review were it not for Paula, doing her absolute best to correct every poor decision made by Michael.
That said, I cannot recommend a company that doesn't treat their clientele equally nor will I ever shop here again.

Went in with my son for his final fitting for the suit he is to wear in his brother's wedding, which is a month out. We walked, in my son spoke with a young lady and she said no problem. Then Michael appeared and told us the final fitting is only when the suits arrive at the store which is a week before the event. And the groomsmen would receive an email letting them know. He was very dismissive, We tried to explain that on the day they all came in for the first fitting, they were told they would have to come in about a month before the event for a final fitting. He wouldn't even listen to us. I couldn't even bring up the fact that my brother had been in there at the beginning of August for his final fitting and there were no issues. It's not like they were busy, there was nobody else in the store and two free employees. How hard would it have been to have him try something on to make sure it's the right size???? On the way home, I decided to look up on the website what the general rule is about a final fitting. And sure enough there it was, no later than 15 days before the event you are supposed to come in for a final fitting. So when we got home, I called the store and spoke with Michael. He was very rude, I tried to ask what happens if somebody has lost or gained significant amount of weight and you only have one week to get another suit in, again he was very dismissive and went on about renting cars .... Cars? yes cars.... I was confused as well. I asked him about the policy on the website and he gave me a number to call. I called the number and emailed twice I have yet to hear back from Jos A Bank. To make this even more mind-boggling, I get a text from my future daughter-in-law today. She is at the store with her fiancé, my son and one of the groomsmen and wouldn't you know it! They are doing the final fitting. Apparently, Michael wasn't working today, two young ladies were and they were very helpful. I honestly I don't look forward to going back in that store, especially if Michael's working, he reeks of arrogance(no idea why) is so unprofessional and has no idea how to deal with customers. Fingers crossed the two young ladies are working.
?Update, today I called the store to inquire again about their policy on doing a final fitting. The gentleman I spoke to this morning told me that thier policy is you will get a "call or email three days before the scheduled event when the suits come in" He also said that my brother did not come in at the beginning of August for a final fitting/Measurement. So I guess my brother lied.
He also said that my son and one of his groomsmen were not there the evening before getting a final fitting unless their suits were in, they were not. I went on to tell him the young ladies helped them and he said well they shouldn't have. My mind is blown at the ridiculousness of all of this. I don't understand how you wait three days before an event for someone to come in for measurements and a final fitting with the chance, at three days before an event, you may not be able to something if a change is needed. So far, 2 groomsmen have need their suits in different sizes. If I could change this to zero stars, I would.
?? update #2, today, Six days before the wedding, the groom and the groomsmen received their emails to go pick up their suits. My son and one other groomsmen came home with their suits. I asked if they had them try them on to make sure everything fit and they said no it wasn't even offered. They were handed their bagged suits and sent on their way. I had my son try his on... And the shirt is too damn small. He has not gained weight. He has not lost weight.... sooooo whoever measured him originally got the numbers wrong AND had he been able to go in for a final fitting a few weeks ago they would've known but nooooooooo Michael doesn't allow that! He's got a shirt with buttons that are fighting to do their job. None of this makes any sense. I will never recommend the

My fiancé and I had a WONDERFUL experience in Danbury. I would highly recommend coming here, especially for all your wedding needs. Paula was extremely transparent and allowed us to feel comfortable with all of are decisions. She was thorough and paid attention to small details. She created a whole new group number for us and organized everything for our groomsmen due to a different location being very disorganized. Safe to say we will be returning for any future suite needs.

Went to Jos a banks Danbury was greeted by Michael. My wife & I had the most amazing experience. We told Michael I needed a suit for tomorrow he looked at me knew my size picked 2 suits without measuring they were perfect then told me to try on a awesome shirt tie socks & shoes they all were perfect bought everything he picked could not have had a better experience❤️ Michael was the golden egg we all hope to find when needing guidance shopping. We were in & out within 30 minutes?

Spoke on the phone with a rep about having my custom suit altered and was told I didn’t need anything to bring it in. Drive 45 minutes and was told it needed a dry cleaner tag on the suit in order to have it altered.

Went in to find a suit to rent for senior prom. Paula helped us out and walked us through the process. She was very helpful and kind, I’d definitely go back!

Thank you to the staff at Jos A bank in Danbury, they got my suit done in time when it was extremely busy, I really appreciate what they did for me. The staff is incredible at this store and extremely helpful. They always have awesome selections and great deals as well. Thank you again to the seamstress and Rick and Paul and the rest of the crew at the Danbury store.

Went in to purchase a suit for my daughter's wedding. Had two suits put aside on "hold" since was not sure of the color I needed. One suit was a sale item and the other was the last one in my size. Went back within 24 hours and the suits could not be found! Asked the store mgr. for a comparable suit to the one on sale at the sale price and he would not do it! He said that they were not going to give it away! Terrible customer service. This was totally their mistake and would not offer any compromise to the consumer.

Finally decided to try Jos A Bank of Danbury and it wildly exceeded my expectations! Very nice selection of formal masculine clothing, and prices were reasonable, including clearance items! Staff were kind and informative, but not pushy, which I was concerned about prior to trying the store. Give this location adjacent to the mall a try!

Thank you very much to Paula and Dayshawn for their outstanding service.My son and I arrived on Oct. 28th to buy a suit for my son. We needed it for a Nov. 3rd wedding. So, right out of the gate, we put JAB and Paula on the spot with a tight deadline. Paula found us a great suit, but the correct trousers, which would need to be hemmed, weren't available onsite. She ordered them shipped to us with delivery expect on the following Wednesday. To our pleasant surprise, they arrived on Tuesday; unfortunately, however, they were the wrong size.When I called the store, Dayshawn, the store manager received my call and told me he would order a pair for overnight delivery to the store from their warehouse and would also have a sister store (in Rhode Island) overnight a pair to my house just to be sure. Both pairs of trousers arrived on Thursday and Paula had one pair hemmed for my son on the spot.In every business "things happen"; but, it's how you respond to those situations that defines the business. I could not be more pleased with JAB, Paula, and Dayshawn for stepping up on a moment's notice to solve a problem for their client. Top notch results from a client-oriented team. Thank you!!!

Stopped in looking for some fall clothes and could not help but hear the loud, long political conversation at the register. Heard it all over the store. If the person ringing it up wouldn’t have kept it going the loud mouth customer would have shut up but it was was a back and forth. I don’t need that when I’m shopping. I left.
