They are always the BEST! Amazing to find an honest company these days. I will never go anywhere else for oil and HVAC. Brandon and Ozzie do an amazing job regardless of it freezing or sweltering outside. They are a very knowledgeable, straightforward, prompt, and courteous. Not kidding, this is one of the best companies in CT.

I thought I disliked another oil company more than this one,but honestly, this one takes the cake. The owner laughed in my face when I asked to speak to someone above him and made it known no one is above him. I had to play catchup with my bills, and I'm a few days late in April payment. which is due at the beginning of the month, but it's only the 8th.I felt I was ok , and the company wouldn't already make a difficult situation worst. I live paycheck to paycheck ,as many ppl do now, I informed him that I have 0 oil over the weekend and that my children and I had to take cold showers and sleep in the cold over the weekend. He did not care because I was late in February but paid $820 in March to catch up. So imagine feeling a sense of relief in April because it's one of my few bills besides the mortgage that I'm caught up with, but being told you dont count because you have a balance. I informed him that I knew I'm a few days late, but the $420 would be paid on the 11th and the balance of $670 in May. To which he replied "you don't get to pay as you please." This isn't a case of paying as I please. I have a service contract that is set at $420 a month. Being late didn't mean I chose to pay it this way.
I expect no favors or sympathy from anyone. I work 7 days a week and doubles 2 days out of the week. I live at work more than I do my own home, so I am by no definition a lazy person or a dishonest person who lives on other ppl dime. I do all in my power to support my children and myself, so I expect my money to not be disrespected. Especially when there are too many companies that offer the same services.
Also, he claims I have been a customer for longer than 1yr...2yrs at that! So the fact that I have kept my account current and paid even if it's a month late means absolutely nothing. I can't even get my furnace serviced because that's also being held hostage by payment, but it's leaking, and they won't come look at it. In this case, if I have a house fire or any major disaster, I should be able to sue this company. He was more upset that I said the word "bs" to being left in the cold than the actual problem I'm having. My vernacular was more offensive to him (which I didn't direct at him but the situation and frustration) then my kids and my safety. Don't put your trust or your hard earn money in a company that can careless if your family is ok even when you have been showing good faith. If I would have talked nicer maybe I would get help but woman and mother's aren't allowed to have colorful language as expression...well I hope HIS mother doesn't require anything from him because she's in for a rude awaking.

Honest review. DO NOT sign a contract with this company. Their oil prices are higher than other companies around. Even that market around is cheaper they will tell you their market price is higher. So you are screw and they will always give you the higher price as mark in contract. Once you become client it is very difficult to deal with them. This will be our first and last year with this company. We are just stuck by contract.

Jennings is a well run company and very professional. I have a boiler service contract with them and recently heard a strange sound from my boiler. I called them and they sent out a highly skilled service person that same morning. He diagnosed and replaced a controller that was failing. Just a smooth experience and we’ll run operation and my furnace is happy again. They work hard to earn your business.

I had a new hot water and heating system put in. The system kept cycling on and off and was very loud and not operating correctly. I had called and spoke to a manager who dismissed me and was rude. He said that is how it was supposed to work. We recently had an issue with the system and two young men came out for service. They confirmed that there was a problem with a fan modulator and fixed the part. Now our system is quiet and cycling properly. Would have been nice if you would have listened a year ago and came out to inspect the system. Very poor customer service.

Very poor customer service called because I needed my boiler inspected for oil leak He asked me if I was a customer and I said I used various companies in the past for oil and he said okay why don't you call one of them places! I don't understand how you miserable people stay in business ?

Learned 2 important lessons after one year with Jennings.1) don't ever prepaid for oil, cost me having to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars more. Entirely my decision on this one, lesson learned. Not the cause for this 1 star review.2)Don't place too much faith in one company, always pay close attention after furnace service, I didn't and paid dearly (thousands of dollars) for that mistake. Not the cause for this 1 star review, either.I'm no furnace professional but somehow Dave from Jennings Service dept thought I should be. When I raised the issues I had with the furnace after the whole journey, he said I should've heard that furnace wasn't burning properly. Heard? How? If I do know how to spot the issue just simply by hearing how the oil is being burn, what do I need Jennings for?Not saying my over-spending is definitively Jennings fault, but I do strongly feel it could've been prevented, and they could improve their customer service attitude a bit. Perhaps not too condescending when talking to a home owner, who knows pretty much nothing about oil furnace. This is the reason for 1 star review and none renewal of my service contract with Jennings going forward.

We came to Jennings Oil through **** Oil and have been very thankful! We have never had anyone come that did not do what was required, explained the problem very well and wished us well! My favorite "phone person" is John who always knows how to answer every question! Thank you so much for providing us customers with knowledgeable, courteous employees who often go beyond what is needed, can always give lucid, concise explanations and ease one's concerns. We are most appreciative. ******* ******
