May 3rd this year was my Wedding Day. My husband booked a room at Ethan Allen because he thought it was a brand name he could trust would offer a good experience. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case with us.
We arrived about 12:45a to a Hotel with absolutely no power. We had no warning, no phone call to alert us of the situation. At almost 1:00 in the morning in Danbury CT we had not much choice to go elsewhere besides we were exhausted and ready to just relax in an air-conditioned room with light.
I understand Ethan Allen was not at fault for the outage but it was a special night that we can not get back and it was not easy for us.
Its been a few months and every time I tell the story, the immediate response is "I'm sure you got your money back and some complimentary meal or anything ?"
We were offered nothing from Ethan Allen even after asking for some type of compensation.
This was not just a regular night but one we wanted to try to make special and were not able due to the circmstances. I was left exhausted in my wedding dress to get an escort with my husband to the other side of the hotel only to struggle in a dark and hot room trying to settle in on my honeymoon night. All in all, were offered a flashlight and an escort to our room. That was it.
I expected a name like Ethan Allen would have seen the situation of a Bride and Groom and wanted to do right by the only party that checked in on their WEDDING NIGTH ! Again, a night we can not get a do over for ! The courtesy of good customer service was not extended in our case. VERY DISAPPOINTING ?

You've never seen a showroom like this. It's their international headquarters. Everyone is very helpful and friendly showing you around or you can just wander around on your own. They have interior design experts who will come to your home, take pictures and measurements and help you decide on furnishings. This service is free with no obligation to buy. Very good service.

Hello,Yesterday I entered the Ethan Allen Danbury, CT store between 1pm and 2 pm. As soon as I entered an associate gave me the "cold, suspicious shoulder". She immediately asked me why I entered the store. I drove by, saw the signage, and decided to enter. For some reason she did not hear me and asked the very same question with the very same response. I was not looking for anything in particular. She immediately mentioned the clearance section and repeatedly mentioned the clearance section and nothing else about the furniture. She then "let me" walk around. I never mentioned being interested in the clearance section; I'm not. In fact, I never asked for the clearance section as I did not know it existed.She assumed by my presentation and vehicle that I could only afford the clearance section. That is far from the case. I decided not to explain my situation to her.Apparently I have to wear the RIGHT clothes, drive the RIGHT car, and have the RIGHT "look". NO. A rich person can look ANY way, drive ANY car, and have ANY presentation. Where was the signage saying that only the RIGHT PEOPLE could enter your premises? Anyone, no matter their status, should be welcomed into the store. Obviously, that is not the case in the Danbury, CT store. I was stereotyped, judged, and stigmatized.I WILL NEVER ENTER ANOTHER ETHAN ALLEN STORE. NO ONE I KNOW WILL EVER ENTER AN ETHAN ALLEN STORE. I enter plenty of other stores where I am warmly welcomed.

Visited the Danbury location for a bed. Great service. Deena was wonderful and helpful during the purchase and even afterwards helping pick some paint colors. Will always go back to EA.

Janet, our design consultant in Danbury was extremely helpful without being overbearing. She was extremely professional and patient. The staff will go that extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. I ordered two items and only one was available for pick-up. When I was in the store finalizing the purchase of my partial order, an associate asked me to wait so she could check if my second item had been delivered that morning. She discovered it was in fact in the storage room this saving me a second trip.

Hotel should be Shut Down for renovations. Filthy, dirty rugs throughout, old worn, dirty furnishing, an inch of Dust everywhere, dirty ripped curtains falling off our window, sheets that did not smell fresh, and a large Roach over our bed. Outrageous! After filling out guest survey, and many calls, Manager Saad Akhtar unresponsive! We stayed in a Suite October 3rd - 5th, 2023. To add insult to injury they overcharged us $50 for incidentals, although there were none.
