“On occassion, they have a guy at the register who cant count. If you have change, he wont provide service if you dont do the simple math and count it for him. Aside from that idiot, service and staff is great.”

“I love this place! Cute hometown feel with the selection I was used to in Atlanta (actually better which surprised me). They even started to stock my favorite wine! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who make great recommendations and REALLY know their product. I will be a regular, thank you!!”

“Went to Zok's for champagne yeast and had a great conversation about the Asian Pear wine we're making as well as different aspects of fermentation and food and different cultures. Great shop, great talk.”

“This is the best liquir store around. Very large selection and great prices that are all all clearly marked.

The guy another reviewer said was stalking him around the store is not what it seems after you go there often. The guy is just a really hard worker who restocks the cooler immidietly. He's a nice guy he just doesnt talk much.

He helps bring the alcohol to my car because I like to stock up when I'm there”

“They have a huge selection of booze at a really good price. It is definitely much bigger than it looks from the outside! Also really like the interior design of the place.”

“A decent selection for such a small place. It's especially nice that they sell a fair amount of cans singularly. The staff is always very friendly and the prices are fair too!”

“One of the best package stores. Good prices and they have monthly closeout deals that are super cheap.I bought a 12 pack of Bud Light Seltzer(I know but here me out) on closeout for $7.99 and there was a $10 rebate. So I was paid $2 to drink it. Which is how it should be with that brand>But drink at your own risk as one of the side effects is morphing into one of the most hideous creatures in the known universe: the devastating Mulvaney. It's been speculated that a single glance at one turns the male species sterile and eventually the species extinct and they take over the planet.”

“The owner in the shop was very helpful. We wanted a Scandinavian snapps..there wasn't any, but the owner recommended an amazing vodka made in Connecticut. A local one. And it was very good.”

“It is a small store but it has some very friendly people there. They had a good selection. I admit, I am also biased because Gene was a good man and the store has character.”

“Stopped in expecting to quickly grab a bottle gin for a birthday gift and ended up spending 20 minutes looking through the whiskey selection. I didn't expect such an awesome selection and definitely will be back for more!”

“We just stopped into Big Gary's Colchester, our ole faithful for a great beer selection! The staff are always so helpful but tonight, Anthony was amazing!!! Anthony offered many suggestions, you could tell he loves his job! To my surprise he said he's only worked at Big Gary's for approx. 10mons.”

“Broadway is my favorite liquor store in Colchester. They employ college aged kids who are very knowledgeable about various products. I'm mainly a bourbon / scotch drinker and they carry a great selection, especially peated single malt scotches like Laphroaig and Ardbeg, the latter selling for $60 a bottle which is very affordable. I routinely discover rye's there that I have never seen before.”

“They have so many options and carry things like German wine that I can't find anywhere else the owner is helpful and will stop and help you find whatever brand you are looking for”

“I came here close to closing to pick up a champagne gift for my daughter and son-in-law, who were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. The man at the cash register took the time to help me find the champagne section and to advise me of which brands were the most popular. I selected a Barefoot Bubbly champagne that, despite its very modest price, was quite nice. Thank you, sir, for the tip!”

“Excellent customer service and the owner was quite friendly and informative. Had some of the best prices I've seen regarding Goose Island Bourbon County. I hope he keeps that price of $12.99 in the future. Only time will tell....This place doesn't have sours in 22ounce bottles.”

“This is a great store if you are in the area camping, they have reasonable prices and a fair selection of what you need fro the weekend. If you are on the hunt for that rare bottle this is not the place, if it is the place they had that rare bottle hidden when I was there.”
