Hands down best experience I have ever had at a dealership. The whole staff was super accommodating from sales to management to financing. I just came in to inquire about a financing special and their team worked hard to get me a deal I could handle considering my circumstances. I had to bring my family with me and everyone went above and beyond to make them feel welcome. No pressure, just good people trying to do the right thing. This is the type of experience you want from a dealership. I shopped around to multiple Toyota dealerships and these guys for sure made it worth the extra 40 minute trip.

I brought my 2021 Toyota Camry to Toyota of Colchester because I was experiencing some issues. My dashboard was lighting up indicting I had various malfunctions such as my ABS, AWD, Cruise Control, Collision Detector, etc. The car was also getting stuck in first or second gear periodically. I later learned this to be "limp mode." I didn't know much about Toyota of Colchester, but decided to bring it there for service since it was the closest dealer to my home and I was not sure if my car would make it all the way to Toyota of Middletown - where I originally bought the vehicle. I was a bit annoyed when I was told they were short on help so wouldn't be able to look at my car for a few days. But I understand - that is the case everywhere. A few days later, I got a call from Toyota of Colchester indicating everything was all set and I could come pick up my car. I was a little baffled by this. How could my car be "okay" after I experienced my dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree and the vehicle getting stuck in first and second gears?! The service rep said that sometimes the car's computer gets a glitch and has to be reset. After asking several more questions, I hesitantly paid the $135 diagnostic fee and brought my car home. I had an event later on in the day about half an hour away. As soon as I was pulling off the highway to my event, the car dashboard lit up again and my car was stuck in first gear. I immediately called Toyota and informed them the issue was NOT resolved, which was my gut instinct when I was picking it up. Toyota asked me to bring it back and they would take a look at it. It was Thursday and, like most people, I need a car to go about my ordinary day to day business. I was told they would "eyeball" my car on Friday. What does that mean?! I was told they were short on help and could possibly take a look at it on Friday but no guarantee. It didn't sound promising and I was a bit annoyed they would not be more truthful with me on their situation. I asked if they could get me a loaner to at least get through the weekend or a rental car and I was flat out refused. No compassion. Just no. As suspected, my car was not looked at it until sometime Monday afternoon. I received a call that they finally looked at it Monday afternoon. The bad news was they would need to have a factory technician come in and take a look. And the technician wouldn't be able to come in until sometime Wednesday. And that's only to diagnose the issue. They would also need time to complete the repair once the issue had been detected. I had already been without a working car for about a week. And now it was probably going to be another week. I explained that I work full time in Hartford and had already missed many days at the office. I also explained I have 2 young children and it was dangerous and unacceptable for them to put me in this situation. I spent good money on my car knowing they have an excellent reputation... yet here I am with a car that is out of commission. I asked to speak with the manager. His name is Larry. Larry flat out refused to offer a loaner, even after I described my situation and the urgency for a vehicle. I asked why he couldn't put a dealer plate on one of his used cars that have been sitting on his lot and he refused to do so. I asked if I could get a rental and have the dealer reimburse me and he also refused. Larry said that Toyota does not provide rentals unless the vehicle's problem has been specifically identified and a claim is made to fix the vehicle and approve a loaner. The manager's lack of compassion and understanding was absolutely disgusting. In the end, I was without a vehicle for approximately 2 weeks. For repair that ultimately took 1 day. In conclusion, stay away from this place. Especially if you have a repair. Management does not care about you or your situation. It also seems like they do not have the time and expertise to get to your vehicle in an efficient manner. My diagnostics were cleared just to get me out

A few weeks ago, I was looking to do a trade-in on my current vehicle that was starting to go downhill. I called Toyota Colchester and asked if that was possible. I politely told them that the engine was in poor condition. Guy responded "Yep no problem. Bring it in". I drive it in on a Saturday morning and one of the staff comes out to look at my car. He angrily told me " what are you trying to do to me? I can't resell this." He acted like I was trying to scam him when I had been nothing but honest upfront on the phone.I took it over to another dealership, $2000 check for trade. Then a week later I called to ask her if they have any used Siennas in the 10 to 15 range. The guy acted like I was wasting his time and told me "nothing in that range is even drivable." I've spoken to half a dozen other dealers, who were easily more helpful with my request. My impression is that these people only want your money and they will take one look at you and decide if you are worth their time. Snobs to the core.

please DO NOT go here for a car. I recently bought a Toyota. three weeks after buying the car I had engine issues, heard concerning sounds when I took it to the shop under warranty they said nothing was wrong. a little over one month of driving my car and the breaks started grinding extremely load and failing, I thought I was going to get badly hurt or die. they say on their website they sell the most reliable cars yeah right! please don't be fooled like I was. they made me pay several hundred to get the breaks repaired several parts replaced when they should have fixed the issue free of charge. please do not trust them. they charged a detailing fee yet didn't even clean the thick film off the front headlights. I was fooled don't be like me!

My family has bought multiple cars over the years. Just got back to the area. My mother just had the car there for service and after the service department gave her and estimate of 4000$ for other work they said car needed. Car is older and does need some work. The problem I'm having is on the estimate it said mouse nest in cabin filter. A 10$ part maybe. If anyone knows where this filter is , is in your glove box. I literally takes more time to remove all the stuff in glove box to get to it. So this service department did all that , didn't remove nest witch took me a whole 30 seconds and closed it all back up. Unbelievable!!! Is the world really that lazy and Pathetic! Because of this, and I'll make sure of it!!! We will never go back!!! Yes, over a 10$ part and 30seconds of work!! Both my parents have gone to another dealer and Purchased to new Toyotas. So I hope their service department reads this and the next time something that simple comes up just do the work and don't worry about the $10! Also if anyone wants to know what that 30 second job and filter will cost you. Are you sitting down!! 179.00$ !!!!!!!

After receiving a letter from corporate I called to schedule a safety recall on our car. I even verified it with the Toyota of Colchester service department a week ago. Today the day of the scheduled appointment 10:45amI was called at 7:24 am told that they don't do them. The weird thing is they asked what the recall was for and after I told them it was the airbag then was told that they don't do them there. After spending 5 minutes on the phone I found another Toyota dealership that is taking care of me. Nothing like being lied to.

After a horrible experience at another dealer, we found our way to Toyota of Colchester. From the first phone call to walking into the dealership the team here treated us amazing, like family. They were kind, caring, informative and patient! We found the exact truck we were looking to purchase and left in a much better mood than we arrived. They treated us like we were old friends and we got a great deal. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car or truck and will definitely be doing business with them again! Thanks to the whole team for making our experience a great one.

My daughter graduated from college and is moving away. She needed a car. She wanted a small SUV but was unsure of which one. Toyota of Colchester had 5 different models of small SUV in her price range. Travon met us in the lot, asked what we were looking for and came back outside with three sets of keys. He then left us alone to look at the cars. About 15 minutes later we swapped for two other sets of keys. We decided to drive a Subaru, and 30 minutes later, we had reached a deal on the car. Tra made the process so easy and stress free, I would strongly recommend him if you are looking for a car. The rest of the deal went okay, the business manager was a little pushy about the extended warranty, but that was a good learning experience for my daughter. All in all an easy low stress purchase of a used car, at a very fair price. Go see Travon and let him hook you up with a car.

We recently received a notification regarding some recall work that needed to be taken care of on my husband's Scion. Valve springs are no joke. Because of the extensive nature of the work, the recall included a rental car. The service folks were very nice and explained this as I checked in, as were the Enterprise rental folks. We were in no rush to get the car back until it was absolutely perfect (there was nothing wrong when we brought it in) and the job ended up taking a full two weeks. It sounds like maybe they have one top mechanic who gets pulled in a lot of directions. I glanced through some of the other reviews and I will note that I asked for the spark plugs to be replaced while this work was happening (parts cost only since the labor was basically included with the recall work) and I got a bit of an up-sell for a fuel system flush for which later, I felt was a little misrepresented as far as the pricing. The repair has been great so far and I hope it continues to have no issues. Thanks for making this as painless as possible.

I would look elsewhere for repairs to your vehicle. If there is any issue whatsoever, they will not take ownership of their wrongdoing and accuse you of setting them up. After taking my truck to get aligned it left in worse condition than it showed up. The tech, Advisors, or even the General Manager would not own up to their mistake and wouldn't do anything about it. Over an $80 alignment that didn't actually align my truck, nor a $100 axle. Discovering an issue after my truck was "aligned" I brought it up with my service advisor and he was very quick to blame me for the issue, lying about the tech utilizing heat to free a tie rod during the alignment, I can only imagine wasn't paying attention and melted my axle boot which was directly behind the tie rod. After I noticed fresh axle grease all over the right side of my truck, the SA also said "The tech noticed it before" but not only was it not brought to my attention, I wasn't even recommended a fix, or solution for what would be a freshly torn axle boot that the Tech would have undoubtedly brought up because it would have been virtually dripping as he performed the alignment. There was no multipoint inspection performed despite my invoice stating it did, and then another employee chimed in stating that they put that on every invoice whether or not they are performed. The GM then told me "This sounds like a setup, I'm done talking to you." Being a service member I really don't have time to scam a dealership out of an axle and a free misalignment. Especially after trying to cover my own a*** and over a $200.00 part. I'm incredibly disappointed that from top to bottom they aren't truthful about their practices and won't alleviate the issue to make it right. My brief experience has proven to me that I have no faith in the service department, or management to do the right thing or tell the truth about something so insignificant.

I brought my car in to get serviced, and requested some items not to be done on my car because it was not necessary. But the service tech underhandedly did a full service and charge me for things that I did not request. They said it was a miscommunication. Granted they gave me a credit, but I felt mistreated. Then with in a few days I had to bring my car back because it was pulling to the right, the brakes in the rear was making a noise and my radio system was not acting correctly. They fix the pulling of the car and explained why the new brakes were probably sounding the way they did. But they couldn't figure out why my radio system wasn't working properly. I reschedule to go back for them to figure out what happened to my car radio system. When I walked in the salesperson had a ticket as if I was gonna pay for new radio. I stated I was not going to pay for a new radio. The service tech told me that the service that was done on my car does not involve the radio system. I said, my radio system was working fine before I brought it in to be serviced. Whatever was done with the car knocked out my system and I'm NOT paying to fix it. Now I have to wait a whole weekend for the manager to come back in and try and rectified what happened to my radio system. We decided to take our vehicle to Toyota of Colchester because it's family owned dealership and we figured that we would be well taken care of. That did not happen. Stay tuned to see how this ends...
