“Amazing selection of a variety of cool antiques at Trailside Treasures. tmThere's some nicely curated collections for sale by multiple vendors. My only complaint if any, is that some stuff for sale sits for a while. So, I only visit once every few months in the hopes of seeing something new and eye catching.”
“My daughter took me there last week. It was amazing. Sorry that I didn't pick up a couple of other things that I saw there, like an Adirondack sign, because I love both areas, CT and the ADKs. Store goes on forever. Plan to spend some time there.”
“Fun experience with a very nice vibe, barn antiques has the kind of pleasing atmosphere you want to find in a country side shop. The staff is very helpful, warm and friendly. With items available for sale which exceed expectations, and very well priced.”
“Fun experience with great store owner. So many unique items, we found several items that we purchased for our home.
We will definitely be back.”
“Nice selection of antiques and unique items. Toys to old tins, silver dollars to horse saddles. Something for everyone. Nice scenic drive coming from New Haven, Hartford, or New London with great selection of dining options near by. Make a day out of it and enjoy yourself!”
“Gary is wonderful. It's been many years since I had been in the store but it has not changed much from what I remember....many very cool and interesting things in there. He and his wife are both very nice and they are interesting people! Thank you Gary for checking out the mushrooms I picked!! I hope you enjoyed them!”
“We stumbled upon this hidden gem of an antique gun shop while driving past and decided to drop in. The owner was incredibly kind and patient. He showcased an impressive collection of antique firearms and even gave me a small gift as we left. If you love antique guns, this shop is a must-visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience!”
“My favorite part of natures art is Brandon. He answers any and all of my child like excited questions with equal enthusiasm, can't beat that. His insight makes me insightful, and in a room full of fossils and organic specimens the outcome is limitless. Never knowing what I'll walk out with is that literal "kid-in-a-candy-store" feeling. However, their prices do reflect the excitement of the place. Thousand year old items don't come cost effectively, but sometimes they do! My latest score was a pair of meteorite ear rings for $25 and a calcite clam chunk for $12!If you can stay out of the tourist trap items, this place is a honey hole. I could wander around all day, albeit half of it conversing with Brandon about what I have found lol. Always a great time, and I will definitely be back. Summer is good for mini golf and splash pad for the kids. They have ice cream that I never sprang for because I couldn't justify the cost(i.e:tourist trap).”
“Great selection, staff are always very nice while I'm there. Sometimes staff are busy with tasks or assisting other customers and check out can take additional time. However, my theory is, I'm there to browse and am not on a time schedule, so it doesn't bother me. Cheryl has seemed to have great success with her shop over the years.”
