Really appreciate Amy’s customer service! She helped out greatly in resolving a cake misordering from another store and she went up and beyond! Very much appreciated!

Control over grocery prices has massively changed. The healthful content of food is now a side business. Grocery stores are boutiques where you buy these small quantities of food for increased prices. You buy ten ears of corn lets say, compare it to a harvest , it's like pricing individual grass seeds. Purchase orders are quantity, by the ton sometimes. You have to sell a lot of negligible profit items and a lot of ridiculously marked up items . Like corn,

I recently hurt my back moving a dough mixer and had to seek workman's comp. I didn't want to but was being talked down to by my GM John because I didn't have sick pay left and apparently in my asbense according to him my whole department was crashing. I guess my department head couldnt keep up when i did it for 4 months while bruce was out on knee surgery recovery then went on several vacations when he returned. I guess without sick pay you're not allowed to miss work if you get hurt. My department manager Bruce in bakery claimed I lied about my injury and faked workmans comp to coworkers, John in fact said I lied about how much pain I was in. According to the emergency room and occupational doctor I did infact have a legitimate injury. The doctors put me on limitations till I healed and those documents were submitted to john. they were not honored by John. I was told theres no reason I couldn't do my full job and we were to short staffed to get help. I had paperwork from the doctor stating I had a 10lb lifting limit and shouldn't be bending, using ladders or step stools, and couldn't lift my right arm above my head. Alot of the cases from truck loads range from 5lb to 50lb. I couldnt lift the heavy stuff and was told i still have to. I became discouraged to continue working there based on how I was treated and quit. I will not work for people who treat me so poorly and walked away from a year and a half of employment. My advice is...don't apply there for work...you're likely to get about 20hrs a week anyways as they struggle to make enough to covet payroll. Even this post in inspired by Bruce for continuing to put me down after I left and I frequently hear from my friend and former coworkers that it's still continuing, very toxic. To think I backed down from a previous hostile work environment situation when Bruce tomahawked a clip board into a side of a bread display because there was a custom cake due on his morning shift and was told I should of did it the day before so he didn't have to (I still have the photo)....and yes, it was played I lied about that to....

The worst online pickup experience. I just waited 65 minutes for my order. I will NEVER do online pickup from this location again.

Ever since tge COVID-19 Pandemic ended, Stop and Shop had not been well stocked. It is frequently difficult to find a clerk to help me at the Fish and Meat counters and the Deli no longer stocks salads so I can request the amount I want to buy.

There prices are way to high for most products. And when they lose power might as well forget everything in your cart cause there generator doesn’t even work they will leave you in the dark. You make so much money off all of us you should make sure your equipment works.

Some of the employees should take a course on proper educate. They seem so angry and mad at the world and take it out on the customers, who in turn, pay their salary. They don't put up signs when part of the store is down, then give you a hard time. I'd say most of the workers are very good, but the few who lack the emotional intelligence to properly speak to customers is a real turn-off. They lost my business and having talked to others who shop there, they are LOSING A LOT OF BUYERS! You lost my business, along with others in town, Stop & Shop! SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!
