Went to buy gatorades with my father as we were leaving some team member named whitney walked towards us then stood in way at self checkout. Seemed like they were trying to block my father, didn’t say excuse me or sorry then made a sarcastic comment.

I have to say as a newcomer to the shoreline I would shop at this stop and shop over any of the others in the area. Their produce is always stocked and in decent shape, although I wish they would stock more organic produce at times. Three packs of the organic bell peppers especially. Their meat section rarely has anything that doesn't look fresh and appealing. Their fish department does not have an odor (Madison's you can smell as soon as you enter the store). My only complaints are the personal hygiene of some of the people working there is atrocious. A few of the younger guys working there smell lIke they haven't showered in weeks. I also have had mixed interactions with people worKing check out and now try to always scan my own groceries to avoid that part.

This is a good Stop & Shop. The store is clean and well lit. It's well stocked and carries a huge variety of products. The floral department here is fantastic. They've got a huge selection of very pretty, nice looking flowers and plants. They also have a lot of really nice seasonal items. The bakery is excellent as well. They've got a huge selection of baked goods and it all looked fresh and appeared to have been recently made. The prepared chicken at the deli was all hot and fresh. More chicken was being made as we walked by and it smelled so good! The produce was fresh at this location. Berries and cabbage looked fresh. The meats also looked pretty fresh. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful. Someone spilled berries by accident and they were quick to clean up the mess. While the store is good, there are a few issues. The fish department seemed to be hit or miss. Also, the floors are older, and are worn, cracked, and scuffed. They could have been cleaner. The ceiling was also leaking in several areas. I think this store should get a renovation as the floors and ceiling need some attention. Overall, I like this location. Even though the store and building are older, the staff are excellent and do a great job keeping the store stocked and organized. This one is definitely better than Madison (Madison is the worst one in this area in my opinion), but it's not as good as the one in Old Saybrook. 3.5 stars for the Clinton Stop & Shop.

Store is fine; thanks for the food poisoning from your prepared foods section, really enjoyed it. Not the first time I've heard of people getting food poisoned from their prepared foods section, should have known better.
