They keep their organic potatoes and onions in the chiller so they are cold and damp. I bought these potatoes yesterday and they are black and gross! I have never seen a grocery store keep potatoes and onions in a chiller. They are supposed to stay dry! Who is running the produce department?

I was quite impressed with the amount of premade food they had available. Because someone like myself is not a good cook. So I’m grateful to Big Y world class market for their premade selection.My only suggestion, I live in Glastonbury Connecticut. Just commenting on the fish department. Used to know I’d get fresh fish from big Y. This specific one has such old fish out. Salmon and char falling apart. Grey trout. Dry cod. Some of the worst looking previously frozen wild salmon I’ve ever seen.I used to run a fish market on Block Island. Then I worked a Whole Foods Seafood counter. I know exactly what it is to over order and never throw fish out. It’s a shame it’s so hard to find good fish. I literally drive across the state just to get good fish.Such a bummer that Big Y has gone this way.

I was at the Clinton Big Y this morning and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I was in & out of there quickly. Everyone working was kind, smiled, and said hello. A very pleasant experience!

Nice big and clean store. Wide aisles. Great selection. Very impressive selection of ice cream! Their snowflake rolls are terrific. Plenty of parking and easy in and out to Rt 81. Important addition to Clinton and its tax base.
