I've been a member for about 2 months. This place is pretty good. Only issue is getting into the parking lot but that isn't their fault. Got a lot of different machines and weights and treadmills. Clean too

Working out at Physique Plus has given me a sense of accomplishment that I haven’t found at any other gym. Between the considerate staff, kind and watchful members, and great management, I truly believe that working out at Physique Plus is unlike any other experience you’ve had at another gym. Not only is it important for a gym to have a good weightlifting environment, but it’s important to make you feel as though you’re welcome, which Physique and it’s staff has done time and time again, every time I walk through the front doors.

Their membership is expensive and that’s fine…. Great equipment and all but if you guys want to charge professional gym prices than I believe they should be open professional gym hours… 7:30AM is to late for a morning work out period…if that’s the case than your better off going to plant fitness and just spending 20$ instead of the 50$ here…. Over all tho staff is great and equipment as well but lets make it make sense you can’t have short open hour and high prices

Mike at the front desk was extremely helpful and answered every question I asked him…he was very knowledgeable..the gym itself is great..not too many kids and all ages go there…I recommend physique plus to anyone who is looking to get in shape….

I have been a member of Physique Plus on and off for the last 21 years. I have watched the decline of the gym over the years, but never thought it would get as bad as it is now. The facility is dirty and appears to never be cleaned. From looking up on the cable machines and seeing cob webs over your head, to the same toilet paper in the same spot on the floor in the bathroom for weeks on end. To spiders crawling along webs in the corner of the bathroom stall with spiders staring at you as you use the bathroom. On multiple occasions I have told the front desk I could not even go to the bathroom because one toilet was covered in poop and the other in urine. I have documented all of the filth with many photos on my phone. Parking is chaos. People park wherever and however since the white lines disappeared years ago & have yet to be repainted. The gym has the same equipment it's had since I worked there in 2005. Nothing has changed except taking away machines from gym members to make more space for R3 training because it "makes the owner more money". On average, you can expect 3 of the entire row of treadmills to be working and functioning properly. The equipment is always broken and seems as though there is no urgency to get anything fixed as it takes weeks to be back in service again. The membership fees continuously increase, but no money is ever put back into the gym. About a year and a half ago, I came back here after briefly joining Plant Fitness because I was so disgusted with Physique Plus. I came back solely out of convenience, as there is no other true gym in town. Since then I have seen the gym go through two managers. Since the most recent young manager Mike has come in, the place has made a rapid decline. The front desk staff does whatever they want. The manager goofs off with his employees behind the desk and act completely unprofessional. They workout when they should be working, fight the air in front of the mirror, sit on the gym floor and hang out, do lunges across the gym, let the phone ring and ring, hang out with their friends at the high top tables, be rude and ignore members who come in and approach the front desk, play on their phones, watch TV, all while they're being paid to "work". They blast music in Spanish so loud that you feel like you're at a club in Waterbury. I have had to ask several times if they could change the music. They try to tell me the kids like it, but the kids are the ones with headphones in, while the older generation does not wear headphones and has to listen to it. Ever since I brought it up to John, he ignores me when I walk in the gym and does not greet me. Many of the very good, nice, friendly front desk staff have since left because of their same frustrations. When I rejoined this last time nearly a year ago now, I joined on the family plan, so my 66 & 68 year old parents could get healthy & use the gym in their retirement. Last week, I went to add my sister on to the family plan, who was once on a family plan with me before. We live in the same household. I was told the owner, Shawn, has made up a new policy that no longer allows members of your family to be added to a family plan if they are not under 21 years of age. I stated this was not the case when I signed my contract a year ago. How can they just change the rules of your contract? Sounds like a breech of contract to me. Manager Mike stated he would ask Shawn if I could add her. When I was done with my workout, he and John at the front desk both ignored me for over 7 minutes before Mike finally acknowledged me and stated "what's up". I asked what the consensus was and he stated Shawn said no. My parents have not gone back to the gym since because they now feel uncomfortable. Now I'm paying for a family plan that my family can't use. I said when I find a new gym they can cancel my membership, manager Mike stated "no problem". All the original members I have spoken to feel the same and wish someone would open another gym in town. We

Best gym in Chesire yes the price is alttile high bet you are paying for what you are getting and trust me the staff make you feel Awesome and the people hear are great I would go here anytime over planet fitness and edge they treat you like family here

It's ok. I like the fact that they have the family plan. I don't love the workout equipment. I also don't feel that there's a lot of space to be out of the way for an ab workout and other such things. Everyone can see you everywhere. But it's a good gym, that's only my personal opinion.

This nice gym physical by the looks may have to reeled in like fish but don’t let it get twisted you’ll find out when you get to that counter the real gym first I want to say I was planning on signing up now longer do due to the skinny tall long black curly hair dude ruined it I get all my. Info done to sign up for the day to get a nice feel of gym as every gym usually offer free day pass which this gym does to I get the pass just for the dude I described to ask me to pay for the free day pass 8.50$ mins u I don’t care bout 8:50 but I’m not paying for a free pass I think he just wants some extra commission which is corny cuz it’s probly like 10% but for future reference have a inviting persona the first dude I encounter who got my pass all set was nice helpful informative and should be the manger over whatever the mat angry dude was
