166 Albany Turnpike, CantonThe best local pet store. 10/10 recommend. And as a local dog trainer, I won’t go anywhere else. Shopping local with the convenience of going to Canton or Avon. They are the BEST.*Photo of Duke, a local favorite, and my dog Drago who visited on his birthday for toys and treats and was greeted and spoiled by the entire staff.

Harris In Wonderland
364 Albany Turnpike, CantonLove Harris! Mainly go here for life feeder mice/rats for our sneks but always browse the many varieties of for sale reptiles. They have some huge tortoises too which are not for sale but cool to watch. The service is always top notch and one of the associates actually really helped us out when our new bumble bee ball python wouldn’t eat. She recommended live and much larger than what we were trying and he ate immediately! Will remain a loyal customer.

Steve Leshem, DVM, DACVS
135 Dowd Ave, CantonA few weeks ago I posted asking about ACL surgery for dogs. In The course of discussion Leshem surgical in Canton was recommended many times. Six weeks out and I can report that the healing is going well and I highly recommend Leshem. There were no surprises. It cost exactly what they said it would cost and Molly has healed at Exactly the rate they said. Of course, carrying a 70 pound labrador up three stories of stairs for the last six weeks has not been fun but apparently I've got in shape too. The lab was only six years old so the surgery or something I felt I had to do. I highly recommend Lehmen. Straight shooters with no nonsense, no sugarcoating. Just medical facts. I must say I was amazed the dog was walking the next day. The only challenge was keeping her calm for the 10 weeks of healing.

Canton Animal Hospital LLC
198 Albany Turnpike, CantonIf you’re looking for a vet that offers kind, competent and compassionate care, look no further!
Can’t say enough great things about Dr. Arnold and his staff. Terry at the front desk is always so kind and helpful on the phone. Dr. Arnold’s vet tech is always super helpful and so pleasant. From the front end to the back everyone is amazing! Our dog Ruby is over a year old and we’ve been going here since we got her and from day one they’ve treated us so well.
Dr. Arnold is always ready to answer questions (as first time pet owners we have a lot), address concerns and the whole office really just loves animals. I’m SO glad we found this practice.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
The Green Papaya Thai Restaurant Canton
160 Albany Turnpike, CantonDefinitely a hidden gem with some of the best Thai food around! Love the way you’re greeted like family by Dirk from the moment you walk in the door all the way to the unique yet vibrant decor setting a great overall atmosphere. They have the best drunken noodles by far of any other local Thai restaurant. My favorite dish however is the pad prik king, the sauce is to die for. I also recommend looking at all the little trinkets and paintings for sale as soon as you walk in before the hostess booth which are all brought over from Thailand and then sold in the restaurant.

Toasted OAT Canton
50 Albany Turnpike, CantonMy hubby and I tried this place after driving by it so many times over the years. It's a hidden gem in canton plaza (close by Farmington Shoppes plaza) where not much else is there but this terrific breakfast/lunch place. Had breakfast sandwiches which hit just right and we'll definitely be back to try lunch here as they seemed to have lots of options. While we were only a few of their patrons inside eating, they had constant traffic of folks picking up food to go. A must try place!!
