Personally speaking, the grounds are amazing. The property is absolutely perfect for training dogs. So glad that we chose QK Kennels. I dealt with Hilary and Carlos. And I would certainly utilize them again. Our little fireball has learned so many good things from this location. And we are quite happy with the results. Thank you so much!

We did an extended training camp for my two dogs over a year ago. They had been a bit unruly enthusiastic puppies before, hard to walk on a leash and I could never let them loose to run in a park. But after their boot camp, they are so well behaved. Even now, over a year later they LISTEN to me. For example, they both suddenly sped off after a daring squirrel and I called "here" and they stopped (!!!!) and came back to me, mid-pursuit. As a result of their QK training they are happier and calmer. Thank you QK!!!!

Just picked up my 7 mo. GSP puppy from a 2 week puppy training/intro to bird training with Carlos and I could not be more thankful! He is so much more confident, calm and respectful. It’s like night and day! I can’t wait to continue his training with QK and Carlos!

QK Kennels is fantastic! We originally found QK through their Sunday PaQK group training with Jennifer. We brought both of our field bred English Cockers (one 8 year old and one 4 month old), then had such a great time that we sent our puppy back to QK for training board when she was six months. Carlos did an amazing job with her - she is very well started on lead, basic commands and on birds. We've been keeping up with the training at home and practicing recall and plan to send her back for off leash ecollar training in 2023.We have also used QK for boarding and greatly appreciate their communication, cleanliness, organization and attention to detail (such as weighing the dogs upon entry). It's a relief to leave our puppy somewhere we know she will be safe and well cared for. Would highly recommend sending your sporting dog to QK - we travel all the way from Boston to do so!

Jennifer’s ‘Zoom with Broome’ initiative is simply terrific…don’t let the cute name turn you off….it’s a wonderful, customer-friendly way to transfer all the years of her professional training and experience into the heads of, in the case of my wife and myself, eager, well-intentioned dog owners, trying to make the best possible decisions around breed selection, proper training, etc….she seems totally open to customize the experience to fit any customer’s requirements…I’ll be astounded to hear if anyone has a contrary experience….

Went for puppy boot camp and couldn't be happier. The staff worked with our 9 y/o daughter to help her feel confident in what she was doing with our 4 month old husky. We will absolutely be back for play care for continued work and training. Doesn't hurt to have a tired puppy at the end of it all either.

My experience at Quinebaug Kennels was fine until the trainer whipped my dog with the back of the wonder lead. My dog has aggression, but was muzzled and wearing a shock collar at the time of this incident. It was complete overkill and broke all trust between my dog and the trainer.This kennel’s approach is authoritarian and obedience-driven instead of compassionate and focused on two-way communication with the dogs. It’s more focused on getting the dogs to submit than on understanding the dogs’ emotions and needs.I have recently heard that some of the trainers’ credentials are exaggerated and they are not as experienced or professionally educated as clients are led to believe. Additionally, I was told by a former employee that at least one current employee has an ongoing neglect investigation.QK might be fine for basic obedience training, but I advise seeking the help of an animal behaviorist if you’re having issues with aggression.

This is a great place! We have only used it to have our dog groomed so far, but we are looking into training as well. In a beautiful spot and a really nice facility.

We recently sent our two 8-month old Labrador retrievers for four-week e-collar off-leash training with Carlee. We truly cannot say enough great things about the QK team from our first inquiry to the day we picked them up. Carlee was INCREDIBLE to work with. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about her job, which shined through in the growth and progress she made with our dogs. They are so much calmer, happier, and more focused after the time they spent working with Carlee. Professional training is an investment, but doing it through QK was a great decision and was worth every penny.

I cannot say enough good words about QK, how well they work with the dogs in their care, and how much care and attention is given to each dog. Each time our German short-haired pointer has learned whatever training was appropriate for her age and intelligence. Chris is just an outstanding trainer; we've watched him work with a group of German short-haired pointers as well as individual dogs, and he's terrific. One time when we checked in, another dog owner came in to drop off HIS dog, and that owner, without our even asking, told us how much his dog enjoyed staying at QK. So kudos to the entire team.

I want to thank Carlee my dog Gracie's trainer. Gracie was with QK Kennels for one month and I could not be more impressed and happy with the results. These trainers work hard every day teaching and training good behavior and respect. When I picked up my dog today Carlee spent so much time going over everything from the wonder lead, e-collar, and off leash information. And, that was before she brought Gracie out. Then she worked with her while I watched and eventually I ended up working with my dog. It was an amazingly wonderful transformation and my dog is so much happier... as am I. I brought her home and worked with her and she followed all my commands. I am lucky enough to live close by so I plan on bringing her back for playtime at QK. Thank you so much Carlee... you have changed our lives. So, grateful

We first brought our GSP puppy 8/17/2020 to QK for boot camp and training at 12 weeks. Chris was our elected trainer and he is just fantastic. Blintz came home nice and calm with an understanding of the basic commands. In July of this year we left her with CHRIS for almost 3 weeks for advanced e collar training. When I take her for a daily run off leash she never strays from me. It’s very reassuring.

Attended the Sunday bootcamp with my friend and our dogs today and LOVED it! Jennifer and her staff were so knowledgeable, honest and attentive to each dogs needs. I really appreciate the training style that is clear, realistic and effective! We will be back!
