I was apprehensive about moving my belongings into a storage unit & desperately needed help. I found Vanguard & my prayers were answered. They not only helped me on the phone but then a free estimate & walked me through the entire process. I have 45+ years of misc junk & stuff that was everywhere. They weeded out what to keep, pack & store. Guiding me with sensibility & knowledge. They spent the whole time helping me when I was losing my mind. The kindness was over the top & when they finally (7+ hours of heavy labor) left here to take the truck to my storage unit (which easily an additional 4 hours of labor), I was left with what the next step is to moving, going thru what you need now before proceeding to your forever home (which I will use them again)! Mike, Dave & the other gentlemen were beyond professional & knowledgeable. I had no direction & tend to be a tad bit talkative & inquisitive. To be able to work as well as they did and have me fluttering around the entire time should earn these men plaques for endurance. The care they took lifting my overpacked bins & boxes & cabinets was unbelievable. The stream of shoe boxes & handbags, along with wardrobes for clothing and not a comment about me being a hoarder gets 10 stars from me! I had a few people come here & see what needed to be done, and they all refused to help me. Not Vanguard. They saw the person, not the hoarder & they helped. They were friendly & gave me not only options for what to do next but genuine solid good advice. These are the guys you want & need to help you with any life changing moves to whatever location you are headed. Pros & one less thing for you to worry about it when everything else is piling up on you with those life changes that are making you have to move! I am so glad I found them! I will add again, the fact that they were so kind is so rare nowadays and to have that kindness when you are confused & need a lifeline, well that in itself is worth it. Call them; you will not regret it❣️❣️

I needed a Moving service asap. Within hours I spoke with Mike and we set up a free estimate. Dave walked me through the process & a date was scheduled for moving (I will add Part 1, I'm using them again in the near future!). Sunday came & 3 men came & broke their humps for over 7+ hours here then to my storage unit. I am a hoarder & there was a mess in every single room. They were KIND, PATIENT, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, PACKED ITEMS WITH CARE & SAFETY. They were QUICK & EFFICIENT and my place was a disaster area. They cleaned up after themselves, put my doors back up, cleaned up my yard & left me with a clean house (that I wish I could stay in but can't) like it looked like when I first built it. And that is saying alot! You do not need to look any further than Vanguard Moving Services Group! I am a picky person with every area of my life, but these guys went beyond my expectations & are not only the best but actually are cheerful & enjoy what they do! BTW, it was Superbowl Sunday, and most men were off for the game somewhere but not these guys, work first! I highly recommend them and you will be more than relieved & glad you contact them!!!!

I have used Vanguard three separate times and each time they were polite, efficient, reasonably priced, enjoyable to work with, and treated me and my belongings with the utmost respect. They were able to pack up the last minute things that I couldn't/hadn't, started in a different room than originally planned because I was still packing up when they came, and worked around me, my children and my pets to keep things moving while not making me feel rushed. I honestly can't recommend them enough. I will use Vanguard whenever I have to move in the future. They are kind, honest, and really made me feel taken care of. During an extremely stressful process, they made it as easy and convenient as possible. Love them!

Be careful with this company. Be very clear, as one hand seems to not wash the other from the time you are sold until the time you talk to the scheduler and then when the moving truck comes. Vanguard is a broker and the truck that comes is not from Vanguard but hired by them. Ours is a long distance move. If you need a short delay from the time the truck is loaded until the time you arrive to your destination, the truck carrying all your stuff is then UNLOADED and stored and then put on another truck and then reloaded but they don't tell you that! If that were made clear we would have followed the loaded truck so there's no chance of another team handling everything in the move again and creating an opportunity for missing or broken goods. They get you with the low price, but go with a dedicated truck company that is being crystal clear about their process.

The owner Mr. M was very responsive prior to my move. Afterwards, he went dead and didn't respond to any of emails like he used to and even followed up with a call. Also a couple of my items were broken and missing. and just wanted a simple follow up.Services: Local moving

Dave and the guys at Vanguard we’re AMAZING! After getting estimates from several other moving companies, we were happiest with the feedback and responsiveness we got from Dave. We went with them and it was an incredible experience. They were very upfront from the beginning and we were never left with unanswered questions. The guys on the job did great work. I am SO beyond happy with our decision. Best moving company by far!

I have used Vanguard Logistics several times. I've found them to be fair, clear, and helpful. It's great to be able to call someone and trust they'll do their best to help you and that's what keeps me calling them when a move of some sort arises. Thanks to everyone there, Mike especially, for being my go-to for moves!

Have never seen so much unprofessionalism in a company. To treat an employee of over 10 years is atrocious and i know the business wont stay afloat without his brawn and brain. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use Vangard out of Shelton in Ct. Mike and Dave will lie to get your business and you wont hear from them again.

I have used Vanguard for three personal moves, every single time they have done an amazing job. They arrive on time, take care of everything from packing, moving, storage and are always less then there originally quote.Resently my parents decided not to use vanguard for their move from New York to Connecticut . after the first mover left them high and dry, I call vanguard at 9:30 pm at night to please come to help pack and move us in the morning. They were there the next morning at 9:30 am and help us pack and move everything! They are like family to us. This is the company when it comes to moving and storage.

Dave was great when he came out to quote us but everything went downhill after that. Movers ended up coming 4 hours late. None of the wrapping services for our furniture and mattress were done. New mattress still smells of their old moving blanket. Majority of the boxes were visibly damaged and crushed. Many large items came back scratched and dinged. Mike from Vanguard stated he'd put a rush on our move to receive items 3 days after pick up. No word from Cicero moving (another affiliate) until 5 days after pick up telling us delivery would be another 2 days which made it 1 full week to receive our items. Driver shows up with only 1 helper so I had to act as an employee for my own move and check my items off their Inventory List. Would not recommend.
