“I can not express how awesome Tribu is! The staff is so sweet, patient and knowledgeable. I had an associate by the name of Evie(my apologies if I spelt your name wrong) and she was honestly incredible! I originally went in yesterday just to get some new nose rings and ended up booking an appointment to get an ear piercing the next day. I told Evie that my only concern about getting a piercing was how it would look since my ears are smaller. She helped me by showing me what different ear piercings would look like on me. She was so helpful and comforting, that I booked my appointment within the time frame she was working the next day. Fast forward to today where I went in and was greeted by Evie. There's just something about having someone who is patient and understanding that makes the nerves go away. She helped me to pick out the perfect stud for my conch piercing. I then met the piercer who was Aly (again sorry if I'm botching your spelling as well) and she was very knowledgeable. She explained every single thing that she was using and or doing which made the experience so much more relaxing. The piercing room and the whole store in general is super clean! Aly marked the spot for the conch piercing and even felt the spot to make sure it was good. The most comforting part was having Evie there to reassure me that everything looked great! Aly counted me down and did the breathing with me. Before I knew it the piercing was done and I was all set to go. Aly went through all the after care instructions and answered the questions I had. All in all literally the BEST piercing experience I have ever had and will definitely be coming back for more piercings.”

“Emil at Goldworks has been. Our jeweler for over. 25 years. He does appraisals, jewelry making (excellent craftsmanship) repairs and watch batteries and watch repairs for us. He treats you like one of the family.”
“The Gift Cottage is a staple of downtown Bethel, which starts with the super cute and well-kept exterior. Inside are lots of well made gifts, most of which you won’t find anywhere else (especially the Christmas ornaments that have scenes from area towns — those are specially made for The Gift Cottage, and are hand painted!).
The prices are what you would expect for good quality items, many of which are hand made.
Be sure to try a truffle, but be warned: you may leave with a box! They’re out of this world.
Last but certainly not least is the staff - Joan, her daughter and the rest of the team are genuinely friendly people who clearly love the store, their customers, and take pride in curating unique gifts that fill their store.
My wife found several treasures, including a nice small purse and mosquito repellent scarf! Oh, and of course truffles. =)
I HIGHLY recommend The Gift Cottage and can’t wait to return.”

“Nice clothing and well presented with high quality pieces. I loved the array of jackets they had and all of the prices seemed reasonable, not unmanageable. Some of the items felt a tad matronly and “heavy” in terms of fabrication, but I would love to stop in again and try some of the pieces on.”
“I met with Debbie to discuss repairs for a few jewelry items. Her estimates were fair and acceptable. Receipts include a digital image of your piece for proper identification, a nice security feature. They carry designer collections as well as some stunning vintage and antique adornments. Large, well maintained shop to dazzle and delight.”

“Bela jewelry store is just the best jewelers to deal with in the New Milford area and beyond. I’ve had terrible experiences at Robertsons and Morton’s in town. They take forever and don’t seem to understand what it is to be a good salesperson- and they are ridiculously expensive. So happy I found Peter at Bela’s. He could not have been more professional and friendly. He fixed my necklace in a few minutes. No nonsense about sending it out to be repaired to be picked up days later. And the price was right! Even bought earrings that I described I wanted. Peter went in the back and found exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price. Don’t go anywhere else before you go to Bela’s!”
