You know a business' level of service when you encounter a problem- not just when they are doing well.Had someone asked me a few months ago to recommend a dry cleaner, I would have recommended Brookfield. In fact, I did recommend them to a family friend.I started using them in the last year or two- after our old cleaner closed.I had good service the first few times.About a month ago, I brought in a cashmere sweater and skirt set (ivory) to be cleaned with some other items. When I returned the next day, I was told that it had been stained in the dry cleaning as they had mixed in a batch with something black. They planned to reclean the next day (They discovered after turning off machines) and they would have ready the next day. However, I was traveling out the next day and had only brought this in to take with me for a special event.(Ironically, the outfit-- a favorite-- had only been worn two times after I purchased less than a year ago.and had been cleaned once. I had worn to lunch the day before and wanted it fresh. There were no stains, no stress to the garment. My first inclination was to take with me and have another cleaner look at it. However, they assured me that they wanted to handle their mistake and get it right- and offered to "overnight" it to me at the destination. The person at the counter even asked if I preferred UPS or FedEx for the shipment - and promised to text the next day when it shipped... That was a Tuesday-Bottom line: By Friday, I heard nothing and l contacted and left a message.I received a text message saying the item had shipped with a copy of the receipt. The cleaners had shipped economy- Post office ground- for an estimated 3-4 day trip and only with automatic insurance of $100.I texted back indicating that the item wasn't shipped overnight ( per their offer) and was nearly arriving as discussed, and was really shipped in a careless method. They responded " Thank you for letting us know," or something to that effect. It arrived almost a week later- on the following Tuesday or Wednesday (after the weekend was well over) in a small cardboard box- not a USPS mailer or a flat box typically used for clothing, without any plastic.I arranged for it to get back to me.Although not completely ruined, it certainly now shows what must be due to a lot of processing. The yarn is damaged, especially edges.I guess I should be happy it wasn't raining on the small cardboard box and that an outfit (obviously costing much more than $100!) wasn't lost.We won't use this cleaners again.

Wouldn't go anywhere else. Angelo was absolutely incredible, communicative, and super supportive. We bought all of our groomsmens suits from him and he has the best advice. Definitely put a bride at ease. I also got my dress preserved there. It was amazing having everything all in one spot. We feel lucky and blessed to work with him and the other women at Brookfield Cleaners.

Took a throw in to have them sew the edge. She told me they had to clean it first ( I just finished washing it). But I needed it repaired it’s sentimental to me it’s sentimental to me. It’s a picture of the Virgin Mary. The lady picked it up with two fingers like it was contagious. Personally I think she jacked up the cost making me wash it first or in this case dry clean which the edge of it has a lot of wind on it so I don’t understand why it was dry cleaned or had to be before they sewed it.That’s $35.00 for dry cleaning and $15.00 for the sewing I should’ve bought another one who would it cost to dry clean and repaired the edge coming off but when you get down to thinking about it, I know not to bring anything else into them. Although when I picked it up a day earlier then she promised the guy. Who I think was the owner treated me better then that women. Any way I guess employees can’t be held responsible for their behavior good luck.

I found it!!! I found the button to fix my windbreaker!! So take that. I don't need your stinking' help, Miss Attitude. "Oh we can't fix a broken button, that needs to go to the factory in Shenzen...Impossible job". Are you kidding me? Replacing a button on a $40 windbreaker is mission impossible? What happened to the good old American spirit? What happened to rolling up your sleeves and getting to work? Ya just say "no"??? That's the best you got?? McGuyver woulda found a way. Forget this place, staff is zero personality as mentioned in other reviews. LOL at the "baby vomit" fiasco.

A little pricey compared to others in the area but they make up for it with the quality of care they give clothing and alterations. I've yet to have any issue with this place and I doubt that I will.

I've used this business to tailor a suit once in the past, they did a great job. I just recently tried to use them a second time, but it did not go nearly as well as the first. When I arrived to my appointment to get measured by the owner, he was not there. A woman came out & did not even take a single measurement before telling me there was nothing she could do because I got the wrong size. Oh well, my mistake. However, I asked her to help me find the right size jacket, but I was told that only her boss could do that & he was not there. Well, before I changed out of the suit, he showed up. He not only agreed that I got the wrong size, but proceeded to tell me that I should either wear the jacket unbuttoned or not at all because he did not have anything in stock big enough for me to try on & he wasn't sure if he could even get one. So essentially I came to this business as a returning customer but ended up being fat-shamed. I immediately went elsewhere, got measured & purchased a suit without any issues or judgement. Will not be back & will not recommend this business to anybody else due to their extreme lack of customer service & respect. Sure, I may not be the skinniest person alive, but to suggest that somebody who was planning to spend their money there is too large to wear a suit (which is just an insane thing to think) is outrageously disrespectful & rude.

The tailor and seamstress both are skilled, helpful, and totally professional. The prices are fair, especially for dry cleaning services, and they also have a handsome array of menswear for sale. Lucky to have a business like this nearby.Services: Clothing alterations & repairs

Brookfield Cleaners is terrific. They take care of the little details, like sewing on a loose button, and my dry cleaning is done perfectly. I've had many alterations done, from evening gowns to pants hems, and they were done so well.

THE WORST!! Clothes smell like baby vomit!Last week i take in 10 shirts to get dry cleaned. I take five on a trip to europe and leave five at home in the original bag. When i get to europe, i take out the first shirt and it smells distinctly of baby vomit, not mildew or something else, but clearly baby vomit (we have two grown kids and know). All the shirts smelled the same. When i returned, i brought the remaining unopened five shirts to the store to show them. They opened one up from the plastic and agreed it smelled like vomit, but instead of offering to clean them again for free or offering even a suggestion of an apology, they told me it must have been something i did?!?! Again, the shirts were still folded and wrapped individually in the original plastic they were given to me, they opened them up in front of me! Anyway, clearly they mixed my shirts in with someones who had baby vomit. Stay away! I will never return. Going to the other brookfield cleaners on here with good reviews... OH, and the owner also threatened to sue me when i told him this was going on yelp. PLEASE send a lawyer my way for writing a factual yelp review, nothing would put a bigger smile on my face!!
