I switched my family over after constant issues with Walgreens over a long period of time - couldn't be happier with my decision! Staff is always friendly and helpful, and I'm never made to wait longer than just a few minutes. We love them so much that we've kept our scripts here even after moving out of town!

I can’t say enough good about this pharmacy. Cory (pharmacist/manager) and I spoke over Facebook after a post I had made on Bristol Talks about an error that CVS pharmacy had made in my sons medication resulted in my son being without medication for a few days. It was a disaster and I was in a bit of panic mode. He, and other Beacon Pharmacy staff assisted me in getting my sons prescriptions transferred over so that it was a painless process. They were all polite and helpful and they continue to be that way. Also, in the last couple months I myself have needed a decent amount of Lovenox injection blood thinner due to a blood clot I threw after surgery. Because of how much lovenox I need they have to special order my refills, and they get it in the next day and I haven’t had any issues which I’m very grateful for. This pharmacy stays pretty busy, but Cory and others here seem to genuinely care about the well being of their customers. I’m glad to have found this pharmacy and I’d recommend it to anyone.

When I moved here almost twenty years ago I was on some strong medication.The one thing that just isn’t taught in pharmacy school is customer service. I’m not saying everywhere else is bad but almost predictable that at some point someone will unconsciously yell out your last name to make you aware of your script being ready but then they ,in front of whoever is waiting or just standing within earshot the name of the drug then they within earshot of others confirm your home address and phone number.Beacon does not make such careless mistakes.They know me and I see how they know others.They have free delivery.Most importantThey have candy.

I have no clue how they do it, but for a chain pharmacy (albeit a small chain), Beacon still manages to feel like a mom & pop drug store. When you walk in, you see pharmacy. Wall to wall medical supplies, supplements (even CBD!), walkers, and even a lifting recliner are on display. It definitely feels like the small town pharmacies of my childhood. Going along with the small town, mom and pop vibe, what you see is what you get at Beacon. There aren't fancy displays or Doctor Scholl's digital insole kiosks or all the knick knacks and random hoodads that litter every typical national chain pharmacy. There's medical supplies, medicine, and pharmacists. And it's what they do best. You come in, get what you need, and leave. The best part is they have ALL the specialty pharmacy items, or can at least order them. They are the only pharmacy around that I know offers rx compounding services. They're also one of the only pharmacy that doesn't say no to special requests. My very first experience with them was getting a SAD light therapy lamp prescription filled. They filled it no problem at all, when no one else would or could. The one thing about Beacon I really don't like, and conversely, miss from my old chain pharmacy, is the lack of communication when it comes to filling orders. I call my rx into my doctor's office, then I don't hear another word. Unless I call in during business hours and ask the pharmacy tech if my order is ready, I have no clue. There is no automated phone rx system, either, so I have to talk with someone should I need to check the status of my rx. I would much rather be able to at a minimum check my status using an automated phone system, or preferably, I'd love to have an app where I can see all my order statuses, just like the chains do. Considering it's not that difficult to have an app made, and considering how many pharmacies are in their small chain, it would be a worthwhile investment. I'd even be thrilled with a text or automated call telling me when my order is ready. I'm not picky in regards to how I know my meds are ready; I just don't want to have to have a full conversation when I need to check. Other than the ordering problem, the hours kinda stink. Their general hours are 9 am to 6 , closed on Sundays. This is not the most convenient, but is definitely more convenient than my old pharmacy that rarely to never had my medicine in stock, forcing me to wait a week extra beyond the week early I refilled to get my essential meds. I definitely recommend Beacon pharmacy to those who want/need a no nonsense pharmacy that will always have your medications and equipment in stock, even specialty items. I also recommend it to anyone who likes to have the ability to speak one on one with their pharmacist, as they definitely excel when it comes to giving individualized attention.
