Our crazy boxer pup was always trying to leave the house and run errands in the neighborhood. He is so hype and so excited I was skeptical he would not run through the fence.... Well, Mike did a wonderful job explaining, installing, training and show us how to train our ?? It has been a real life change ever since! A year later, our dog runs like a crazy pup he is all around the yard and never went through it! Thank you so much!!!

I have always been hesitant and anxious about using an electric fence for my 3 dogs (Corgi, Lab mix, Greyhound), but after working with Mike my mind is at ease. He was amazing during the training and has made himself available throughout the additional training to answer questions and provide any support needed. I will recommend his product to any friends or family in the future who are considering any type of fence for their dogs. You will not be disappointed!!

mike came out and helped train my cavalier puppy a few years back after i had a horrible experience with another fence service...he was friendly, professional, great with my dogs, and actually went around and fixed the problems the other fence company left behind. he really went above and beyond for me and has been so supportive over the years when i have general questions. i just got a third dog and will have him out in the fall when he is a little older so he can train him to the fence. highly recommended!

Couldn't be happier! Very professional. After initially providing an estimate for the installation of the invisible fence, Mike the Dog Guy worked very hard to get our business. We have lakefront property with a significant amount of wooded area and wanted to maximize the area available for the dogs to enjoy, including lake access. Mike was great in helping us work out a creative solution.

This was the best purchase we have made in a while. It keeps our pups safely in the yard and free to roam and play while we are outside without us having to worry about them leaving. Super friendly owner, very fast assessment and installation. The trainer was awesome and knowledgeable.

Last year we had 2 quotes done for dog fencing because we have a former police dog who is aggressive with other large dogs and who likes to run around the whole neighborhood terrorizing people due to her breed. We also have another large dog who is sweet but will follow her wherever she goes. Mike the Dog Guy was very good with my dogs and went right up to them immediately and they seemed to love him, however he didn't give me much personal space nor did I feel like he was listening to my expectations. I asked how long of a wait it would be and he said he could do it the following week. I said I'd talk with my spouse and get back to him. After receiving an email for him to go ahead with installation, I texted and emailed back saying not at the moment and that following week I get a call while I'm at work from my spouse saying Mike installed it on our property without our permission. After calling Mike, he said he did it because he "wanted to make sure the dogs are safe" as it's his "number one priority" and that we could pay him in the spring. When he came to train them a few days later I told him again we weren't ready to make the decision on the fence and that it wasn't installed in the area that was discussed. He said he'd fix it after the ground thawed. COVID-19 and April rolls around and he expects payment after we've been out of work for weeks and we expect our now dog-destroyed yard to be fixed and he tells me he will charge me for it! Laughable! He installs a fence without permission, then has the balls to tell us we'll be charged for him installing it incorrectly. After telling him he already agreed to fix it at no additional cost, he comes a week later than he said he would and fixes the line and decided to take my dog-aggressive pooches fence collar off and take with him. We check our dogs every morning and night for ticks and their collars to make sure they're alright. I knew that morning she had the collar and that evening she did not. So for 2 weeks we all searched the yard and 15 feet past the perimeter. No collar to be found. We called the Resident State Trooper's Office and spoke to a trooper. Apparently Mike the Dog Guy was also Mike the Pest Guy and several other Mike's before that. This "method" he uses of quoting, then completing work without the property owners approval is nothing new!!! The trooper warned us to steer clear of this man and he called him to tell him to stay off of our property. Did some research: couldn't find his name, wife's name, address, phone number or business name on CT Secretary of State website as a legitimate business. Hmmmm?? This means he is ALSO uninsured if he causes damage to your property. Called the corporate headquarters in MA for Dogwatch, and he is no longer affiliated with them nor is supported by them (due to multiple complaints from consumers). He is charging a ridiculous $1600 to install a fence system that takes him less than 1.5 hours to complete on 1 acre of property. He makes more than a doctor or lawyer and he does it without permission then comes back to your property to take your personal property. Dogwatch rectified and mediated the issue between this Mike guy and as well as asked DogWatch Litchfield County to give us replacement collar. We agreed on discounting the price for the horrible experience and all was well minus the fact that we were now genuinely worried he would return to steal the collars again or snip the line in the yard. We had a security system professional come out to quote and install security cameras. MAY UPDATE: last night around midnight an "intruder" broke and entered our home and took ONLY 2 DogWatch collars off our dogs. I heard a strange noise outside my window right where the dogs sleep downstairs. Heard a couple of barks which is not unusual so didn't think much of it. This morning around 6:40am I let dogs out for breakfast and business and both dogs collars are missing. Needless to say the State Troopers were a

After adopting a rescue cattle dog living on a main road we needed a containment system for our 8 month old dogs safety. I had another big name quote offered which was substantially higher than our second quote from THE DOG GUY. We instantly connected with MIKE. He truly is a dog specialist and was able to identify the traits of our mixed breed pup. We went with MIKE because we trusted him, and everywhere up and down our road are his signs on other homes. He was able to install within a few days and train our pup that day. He walked us through the daily protocol of reinforcing the fence training. So far for the past few years we have had no issues with system. Mike is always ready yo answer all my questions when I call and quickly got my replacement battery (they last for 3 YEARS!) for Stuart’s collar, as well as quickly getting me his new color just recently when Stuart got sprayed in the face, ears and neck by a skunk. We are thinking of adopting another rescue pup and will put a call into Mike to train on the containment system and collar. I give my highest recommendation that (Mike) THE DOG GUY is the best man for the job⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The dog guy came to our house immediately after a more "well known" company that you hear on the radio every day here in CT. Needless to say the other company immediately began attacking the "The Dog Guy" when they came to our house. It was the epitome of unprofessional and immediately turned me off and i stopped listening to her.

My dogs electric fence collar was accidental thrown out. So I contacted the company who installed my fence and told them that my son threw it out by accident and asked if they could give me a discount as they’re very expensive to replace. One of the owners contacted me back and couldn’t give me the discount. (This was my second fence purchase from them also).

I have had The Dog Guy Pet Containment System for about sixteen years and has kept my two Jack Russell Terrriers safe all that time. I never regretted buying this system, because I have had piece of mind that it worked great for me all of the time! Mike was a joy to work with and helped us start training my dogs to get use to the fence. He was very supportive in any questions we had! Very nice guy to deal with! I would recommend this system to keep your pets safe and well protected
