I went to Gill Motors about a week ago because my car is due for inspection and because another previous mechanic at another SHOP caused the check engine light to trigger and COULDN'T fix it. I walk in to Gills Motor last week to have the computer diagnose the check engine light, paid $20 and they read the codes claiming that 3 codes came up. I left worth my receipt and printout. Yesterday I decided to fix the 3 codes on the printout at Gills Motors, the Owner quoted me $509, he asked for $109 down payment and the remainder when they are done fixing the car. The owner dropped me off at home. Later the Owner called and claimed the printout was wrong that the amount would be $1,005 and 10 new codes came up. I was furious. They picked me up, I argued with the Owner that I want my $109 refunded. He refused to refund my money, refused to give me both receipts that I paid the first time which was $20 proving he first gave me a printout with 3 codes and yesterday's receipt that I paid $109 for the balance of $400 remaining. I kept asking for my printouts and he kept refusing to give it to me claiming that he lost or misplaced them. I immediately canceled the $109 debit card payment with my bank and complaining to the Better Business Bureau and all social media reviews about this SHOP owned by an Hindu who is starting to abuse his AUTHORITY in this COUNTRY!!! I want a full investigation for elderly abuse, bad business practices, scamming of Americans by foreigners who own or lease businesses in the USA, most importantly, my $20 printout of the original diagnosis that the Owner claimed he lost it and the full Refund of my $109, and for the BUSINESS not to bother me further.
