Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo is a nice little zoo with a lot of animals to look at, featuring interesting animals like an Amur tiger, leopards, wolves, and a small elephant. Guests can see beautiful sculptures in addition to the animals. Highlights include the new Spider Monkey Habitat, the Rainforest Building, and the Pampas Plain. For a break, visitors can ride on the carousel, which is super cool inside, or get food from the Peacock Café. It is a great day to spend with the kids, who have a blast, and is worth the price. The zoo supplies crafts, food, and an animal experience for events. Some visitors note a lack of workers around the enclosures and that the tiger could have used more space. The zoo offers a nice discount for EBT card holders. As a non-profit, its mission of helping fragile wildlife populations is more important than ever.
