These dirt bags stole my skateboard, the bathrooms are disgusting and the store is unclean. This location is highly recommended to avoid. Any supermarket with roaches, doesn't follow even the basic sanitation.

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGER CARL.I went to buy some ground beef from gala foods, 1050 East Main St.as I started to cook the ground beef it started to smell spoiled and tasted horrible. I called Gala foods where I shared what the issue was. Carl who’s the manager said bring it and we will fix the problem. I mentioned to him that the meat was cooked and he said it was not a problem. I got there and he came and said what is this. I mentioned to him that we spoke over the phone and he said to bring it and we will fix the issue. I told him the ground beef was fine once I started to cook it, it started to smell spoiled. He said to me with an attitude , everything we sell is fresh. Did you wash the meat first ? Maybe you did the recipe wrong, maybe you don’t know how to cook! “ I told him” don’t do that, that’s unprofessional of you and very rude” , he laughed and smirked and said he can’t do anything about it and tried to dismiss me . I told him “ I don’t come here because I want to start trouble or because I’m trying to make your job hard, I’m telling you that the ground beef is spoiled just like last time the cheese I bought was spoiled too and also the ice had rat poop , when I went to return the cheese, he gave me such a hard time as well. I told Carl I wanted to speak to someone else and he told me that he’s in charge there is no one else and to have a good day. I asked him about the owner and he walked away. He didn’t even want to repeat his name and or share any information about another number. I was a loyal customer and so was my family but this experience is so disgusting and unprofessional and just plain rude. I will no longer be a customer to this store.

I love shopping here, the only grocery store I actually purchase my meats & vegetables from. Everything is always fresh. The meat department employees are great if I need items cut down into smaller portions their always happy to help. If your looking for bulk you also have that option also.Some items may be a bit pricier than other places but if your looking for quality items, Gala Foods is we’re you should shop. They haven’t dissatisfied me yet! Great job Gala Team

A very convenient latino/Caribbean supermarket. They normally carry an assortment of Latino products one is used to from their country. Depending on what you are getting the prices may be good to expensive. They have the produce we are used to purchasing in our countries and many of the meat choices as well. They have been in this community for a very long time.

I only go to this store for a few things because they are local but the prices are outrageously high & There have been some notice of racism at this store I have seen more than once. These people working at this store can be very rude no people skills & delivery is first come first served not by who you choose to drop off home first.

I be customer since working for their x trash haulr 20 yrs. Today in deli line a lady ran in and say ME FIRST! She tried to cut line earlier then walked off. Deli worker knew she was not in line but served her first anyway. Chek the cameras tony. But i will rely on c-town more now

So i went in placed an order for domincan in advance. For cake saw cake and was very happy. Until the day of handing the cake to the restaurant we had this surprise party, which would have been sliced to be served. Turn out the cake was not of DOMINICAN. Already handed out to the guest. So as proof i took a few slices to show the store. She asked where is the rest of the cake, like really The icing wasn't even what it should have been. Long story short went back to make my complaint Sunday was told to come back the next day. And still it was a fight. Mind you if i wanted an AMERICAN CAKE AS I TOLD THE YOUNG LADY I WOULD HAVE GONE TO BJS, STOPNSHOP OR SHOPRITE OR SIMPLY ORDER FROM THAT DISPLAY. i refuse to spend that amount that i paid for the cake cost me 55 plus they charged me for the decorations. Which I've never heard before... some supervisor thought the best i deserved was$25. Which i paid 59. And purchased other items in the store. That's the cake. And to say this is not my first time having a DOMINICAN CAKE. THIS IS NOT IT.... GALA DID NOT TAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS INTO CONSIDERATION. THERE WAS NOT GOOD OUT COME. I was truly un happy especially for my aunt who orders DOMINICAN cake every year for her birthday.

There's a rude manager. The tall one. Wouldn't allow me to return or exchange a melting chocolate that wouldn't melt in my microwave but told me to use the microwave in their break room. As if that's supposed to help me in the future.Everything costs more than in other stores. Their produce goes bad very fast. The deli & hot foods departments are the best things they have to offer. I stop in for last minute items & things I'd have to drive outta the way for.
