I never thought I'd be leaving a review for a pawn shop and be so happy about it. These guys are honest, up front, and fair. Real people who aren't trying to pull one over on anyone. Whether ur buying or selling I'd recommend these guys over any other place I've been, and I've been in these kind of stores all over the northeast at one time or another. Can not overstate what a nice experience it was selling something here. Will definitely be back in when I'm in need of tools especially, they have an amazing selection! And a ton of spectacular looking musical instruments too. Great place to get what you need at a great price!!!!!!

Went in today looking at a switch they posted on Facebook. Everyone behind the counter were very kind and respectful. Very informed group of employees and very nice pricing on everything we bought. All in all I loved this shop and we’re going back tomorrow 10/10

There is only one word that comes to mind when I think about Silas Deane Pawn in Branford...AMAZING. Not only are the staff friendly & very knowledgeable, but they are fair. Denis & Louie will have no problem explaining how everything works. You will never feel as safe, valued, & respected in a pawn shop as you will at Silas Deane! They really do have & (try to) buy it all. I know that all pawn shops say, "highest payer for gold" But let me tell you... Silas Deane is the highest payer around (for everything)! The prices are fair, and the products are great! They have what you need & what you want. One of the best parts..... they offer Layaway!!! If you haven't already, go check them out!

I came here yesterday to get an iPad pencil for my iPad. It’s an older iPad the 3rd generation. So the man working was very informative, professional, fair, honest, and polite. When I came here he had 2 opinions the Apple Pencil generation 1 and generation 2. Both were priced extremely fair so I was going to grab the newer model until he asked me what iPad I had then he told me to go with the older one because it wasn’t compatible and I didn’t know that I would have spent hours trying to figure out why it didn’t work. I went on Facebook market place where I found an Apple Pencil 1st generation that was used for $75 and after looking at the store priced ones I decided to get that but luckily for me the guy never responded so I called these guys up and asked if they had one and they did when I asked how much he told me $40 bucks which is way less than I expected. This is the first time I’ve came to a pawn shop and haven’t been disrespected. Normally I don’t try pawn shops because seeing as I didn’t know the pen wasn’t compatible other pawn shops would have looked at that as an easy target to take advantage of but not here I was treated with respect and extremely happy that he wasn’t in it for a sale but in it for a returning customer. Now that’s what I expect when I go somewhere! That’s the customer service I expect and a pawn shop is the last place I expect to see such great customer service and professionalism. I would highly highly recommend coming here. Even if you don’t purchase anything just come take a look for yourself and you’ll understand why I’m leaving it 5 stars. While I was there someone tried to sell something and he looked it up and was so polite and explained in such a understandable way that it took a minute to process. Never seen that at a pawn shop normally they’ll pay you basically nothing while belittling you but not this time. I guess I’m going to take time to come by more often and see what they have before I hit the main stores. Saved me over 100 bucks buying one brand new, works just as great, so I’m confident in returning in the near future. A big thank you to LOUIE C for such great customer service! You’ve definitely did your job correct instead of that quick money you made a loyal returning customer! Thanks again

I purchased a Kenwood 5-Channel amplifier from this pawn shop. It came in fantastic shape. The box had a little ding (Probably from the delivery service all the way to AZ, ha ha). They were extremely vocal and attentive to my emails.I was without a 5 Channel amp for a week, so I was rather excited to get it. Everything works EXACTLY as it should, and I even received an email asking if everything was right. I will absolutely do business with them again.Kudos for being so open and transparent. :)-Patrick
