Good afternoon. This message is for the owner of Salon Epic. With all the respect, I don't think it's fair that I've paid $400 dollars plus tip for a job that's breaking my hair and on top of that you want to charge me for try to fix the damage that one of your employees did to my hair, I don't think it's fair. I went to the salon 3 times and I never complained to pay; in fact the first time I paid almost $500 but this time it seems unfair to me that you want to charge me for fix a damage that one of your employees did to my hair. I wrote to you on Instagram and you didn't respond back.

Salon Epic, more specifically Anny and Melissa, saved my wedding day. They were there to do my wedding hair along with my bridesmaids, which they did fabulously. But little did we all know my make up artist wouldn’t show up, and they saved the day. They both stayed calm cool and collected and said, “We got this” and there was never a moment I was shook. I can’t thank them enough for making my day even more special by having “my people” do my whole look for such a special day.

I had the best haircut Iv'e ever had in my 37 years of life by Kayla. Kayla is such a talented and sweet stylist. Haircut was a bit pricey, but trust me it's worth every penny! Great atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff! Will be returning again soon for sure!

Salon Epic is my absolute favorite place to go. I’ve followed the owner Laura throughout my life, she cut my hair when I was a little girl and always did my hair for my dance recitals, with each year getting more intricate and beautiful with compliments for days from other people. Since the opening of Salon Epic, I’ve been going to Laura’s daughter, Melissa, who goes above and beyond for her clients just like her mom. I love my time there where each and every visit, every single employee is engaging and sweet and makes sure you are getting the best service possible. I’ve never left there without feeling even more beautiful than when I arrived and love the fact that every idea I have wanted to try out with my hair, Melissa is so supportive and creative to figure out how to not only deliver but do so with your hair’s health in mind (seriously- my hair has never felt better than since I started going). Melissa also takes the time to explain the thought behind certain processes so you know exactly what’s going on at every step. You can tell how much care is put into you and your hair and It’s nice to know that no matter who is assisting or working on your hair alongside your main stylist, you are always in the best of hands. I cannot recommend this place enough and always can’t wait until my next visit.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Laura is the bestest hair dresser ever. I've been going to Salon Epic for over a decade and couldn't be happier. It's a warm, welcoming family atmosphere. I have sent family and friends and they were all delighted with their results. Love them!

Literally the WORST salon in Branford. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome in my life. They treat their employees terribly and they dress very inappropriate for the job. The owner made me so self-conscious and I will never set foot in there again.Services: Haircut

I have been with Melissa for over 3 years now and to say the referral I was given to see her changed my life & she saved my hair is not an understatement.I have always been spoiled In the hair department, living in both Phoenix and Chicago, my hair girls were TOP NOTCH. Moving to CT, I tried 3 individuals before finding Melissa and no one was able to get it right, to the point where I didn’t even recognize myself. I was devastated. When I had my consultation with Melissa, her knowledge, passion, empathy, & patience SHINED THROUGH!We all know Hair color is seriously is science + art and Melissa just gets it. She strives to put the clients hair needs and goals at top priority and you can tell she takes a lot of pride and joy in her work (as do I because I am always leaving salon epic feeling flawless and that I can conquer the world!) and she REALLY cares about her people and their lives.Melissa also invests her love and energy into her people. She is always explaining the techniques to her clients and to any other stylist who wants to learn. She is building up those who work at salon epic and creating a culture of growth, support, and you can feel how much everyone really likes each other and coming to work when you are there.You can tell a lot about someone’s character by the way the act when they don’t realize people are paying attention. Melissa’s actions are constantly tried and true & she walks the walk by constantly goes above and beyond to support her team and the business and create relationships with customers that aren’t “hers” and more.Melissa is magnetic and someone you just want to be around PLUS an insanely skilled artist! I started going to Epic after one of my friends recommended Melissa in March of 2021. I absolutely love her, the salon and the way she does my hair. She always listens to my requests and knows exactly what I do not like. She will stay until 11 PM if she has to to finish your hair. She will redo your hair 10 times until you love it without any complaint. My first time getting my hair done it took her 7 hours and she was bubbly the entire time listening to me talk and making the time fly by. She is not only a great person and mom but she is an absolutely amazing stylist. She truly is gifted and there hasn't been one time I didn't love my hair. I was recommended to go to Gabby by Melissa for Prom. I wanted to do an up do and gabby is the best for the job. I had a set hair style in my mind. Gabby finished beautifully and I decided I wanted to change the entire thing. Without any complaint she was excited to try a different one. If I asked her to redo it again she would have happily. I do not trust everyone to dye my hair due to a paste experience at a different salon but I would highly recommend the two that do mine Melissa and Gabby. Gabby did my prom hair as well as dyed my hair for prom. See pictures!
